Hi All,

 

I'm relatively new to the site but wanted to give a review on a product that I recently bought from Matt at Bluegrass Fairway. *Disclaimer - I don't know him, don't get a commission, not invested in the product, etc... but felt the urge after I received my Yardage Book Cover from him over the long weekend.

 

A little background on me...I'm a millennial, started playing golf 2 years ago, have always enjoyed the "history" of the hobbies that I choose to enjoy (hunting, fishing, biking, etc...) and currently have a 12 HCP. As my ball striking continues to improve and I know at least the general direction of where the ball is going I wanted to find a way to lower my scores and pass along the time when I can't play in the Seattle rain. I started messing with the idea of making my own yardage book and through a couple of prototypes and a gift for my dad, I created a detailed yardage book for my home course. Yes. I have a laser rangefinder, but again, I felt a yardage book would be fun to have, little did I know that it would lower my score by 5 strokes the first time I used it!

 

Back to the product review...After making a few yardage books for my friends, I started searching for a yardage book cover online. I don't like loud graphics, exotic colors, cheap made in china products and luckily found Bluegrass fairways yardage books on social media. I took a look around and felt like it would enhance my time on the course with my dad, so I filled in a few text boxes, made a small request, and clicked "BUY NOW".

 

I received a email from Matt the owner 45 min after placing the order, letting me know he appreciated the purchase and when my book would be on its way.

 

Long story short, heres some pictures of my Bison leather yardage book cover. You can tell the QA is there, he's proud of his product, and the devils are in the details...The branding, packaging, stitching, leather, heat stamp, dimensions, etc... are perfect. Really looking forward to having it on the course. If you are on the fence of getting a yardage book cover, go take a look at his website, I think you'll be impressed.

 

Dimensions are 7" x 4.5" and fit comfortably in my back pocket of all my nike and UA pants/shorts.

I have bought one for myself and a couple for gifts for others from Bluegrass. For the price point, it's simply the best product out there in this category that I've seen. These are really, really nice and the customer service is excellent as well.

 

Can't recommend Bluegrass enough.

I ordered a yardage book from bluegrass b/c of this thread. Submitted my order, got an email within an hour stating when it would be expected to be finished. Got a shipping email two days later and got automated shipping notices in my email when it was out for deliver and delivered.

 

The product is fantastic and very well made. I ordered mine with my full last name inscribed on the inside and they accommodated my request with no upcharge from normal initials. I got the bourbon colored bison model similar to the OPs just a darker brown. EXTREMELY IMPRESSED!!!

 

I will definitely be doing business with Bluegrass again in the future.

Another happy consumer here. Bought one few months ago. Little pricey but very quality product. Even better customer service. Only downside to product is that leather is so soft if you keep it in your back pocket while playing and tend to sit down with it, it can bend a little. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a yardage book or score keeper.

Love it, really looking forward to seeing how you do it. I ordered some template books over the winter to try this on a few local courses I play tourneys at.

I've made about 18 yardage books on my own but none this nice. And my process takes a long time and took practice. Can't wait to see how you do yours and your cover came out amazing.
