Well Gents,
I'm pulling the trigger in less than 5 months!!! :black eye:
Hahaha...I really couldn't be happier to tie the knot with my high school sweetheart!
So, what does one get for his great friends to commemorate his big day and thank them for being a part of it? I couldn't think of anything better then a LUX Custom from Chris and Lamont! Sure, I've seen the monogram travel cases, the flasks, the pocket watches, but we all know that nothing compares to a flat-stick. Chris at ssbeachgolf.com was so great to work with, I placed an inquiry on the putters and within the hour got a call back! Talk about customer service. Chris and Lamont are super guys, as we've all come to know on the forum, but I have to take my hat off to them...They are the essence of class! The order was placed after a few phone calls and less than two weeks later they arrive at my door. I admit I was a tad giddy at the sight of the MANNKRAFTED Box if front of me. They couldn't have turned out better, the only problem is I don't know if I can wait 5 months to give the guys their putters. Take a peek and let me know what you think!!!

Thanks guys...I am really excited to see the looks on their faces when they unwrap these babies. The hardest thing about placing the order was that LUX models don't come if Lefty :cry: They are just so nice...Now the question is should I pull the trigger on that SSB yaupon? Ahhh decisions decisions (cool)

If you give out your gifts ahead of time, I'm sure one of your party will be calling in 'sick' for the wedding. As it happens, I'm free that day... better have a backup made and send it to NJ just in case. (No putter-back guarantee, as I'm prone to the dreaded June sniffles).

That is awesome man and congratulations. I also am getting married in June. 20th actually. All my boys are big golfers as well and I really really thought about doing this same thing. I had a hard time convincing the fiancee to spend that much, but I still got time. PM me if you will and let me know if they gave you any kind of discount due to ordering so many. Thanks!

Yeah the black one is for my best man "Newman" that's his nickname (you know like in seinfeld). I thought I would do something a little different just to designate the title. (cool)

Actually just placed my order for 4 putters (3 for groomsmen and one for me) after working with Chris back and forth for the past few days. He responded within an hour or two every time I sent an email and was incredibly helpful! The biggest hurdle was the fact that my dad's a lefty, but he's getting hooked up with the best of the bunch, a custom milled since they don't do lefty cast. He did spend a bunch of money raising me though, so I guess he deserves it. I went with all black polymer (black nickel on the custom), white paintfill, white iomics and white headcovers. Perfect wedding gifts for a very reasonable price. Plus, it's the first golf purchase that the wife to be didn't roll her eyes at and even approves of :)

 

Can't wait for the package that shows up in the next 3-4 weeks. I can't imagine having to hold onto these things for a few months. My wedding is May 9th, so I'll just need to hold on for a few weeks.
