I dont know Pat Perez, yes, thats true...but without reading the article, here's what i know about Pat Perez.

I was watching golf on tv one day and Pat Perez was leading the Waste Management Open at TPC of Scottsdale. He was a TM staffer and he was hitting his R series driver really, really good that week. He won the tournament.

Great story however Perez never won a PGA Tour event in Phoenix. #darnedfacts.

Then Perez is right, we don't know him.

Thats my point

I literally started writing stream of consciousness about PP

And I just got done reading the Pat Perez article. I actually knew Pat Perez better than I thought I would. We share some views on life.

And I have to correct something I mentioned above about him. He didnt gain weight, he just has a fat face. He looks like a brunnette Sammy Hagar.

Pat Perez is a straight shooter and he calls it like he sees it. With doing that, you need to handle how people are going to react to your words and actions. To say you dont care about how the media portrays you is ignorant and dumb. And yes, he dissed Tiger Woods, even if it is the truth, it was a diss. Tiger still thinks he can win eventually, so you can say whatever you want Pat Perez, but like yourself, failure is not an option in Tigers golf mind. Maybe your parents didnt try hard enough to make you the best in the world. Maybe you should cut Tiger a royalty check for all those inflated, ridiculous prize funds on the lesser tours you bummed around in, making you think, "hey, I can make money playing golf because I hate real work." Noble stuff fat pat, noble stuff.

I was watching golf on tv one day and Pat Perez was leading the Waste Management Open at TPC of Scottsdale. He was a TM staffer and he was hitting his R series driver really, really good that week. He won the tournament. After that I saw Pat Perez gained some weight. After that he joined Callaway staff. After that I saw a promo video of him hitting a Apex UT iron in the offices of Callaway. After that I saw him hug someone on tv on a tee box. And then I heard he made some tough comments about Tiger. And then I saw this thread on WRX.

That is literally all I know about Pat Perez.

And for the post above mine...RP is a great poster here. Imagine him as the Wal Mart greeter who tries to engage you in conversation and make you feel welcome eventhough 95 percent of the people just want a cart on be on their merry way. Does it seem as if RP takes it upon himself to show us how important he is? Yes...and if you shoot him down on it, he will shoot you back down with why he does what he does in dramatic fashion with something you couldnt have possibly known about him. Its a classic anti-troll method...I love it.

His posts are always insightful and well thought out. However, RP...your maudlin tales and excruiatingly long takes on things are a pleasure to me but I can see where the narrow minded and short brained folk find you too hard to understand.

A WalMart greeter, lmao??

Damn, that's not a pimp slap, that's a kick to the......

Very well placed!!

TD, you're responsible for me laughing till I had tears in my eyes and I displaced my one IV needle because I grabbed my stomach and rolled to my right(needles in left arm), lmao..

Let me explain-

Madison had told my BFF(Dave) about your post and he came onto the board as he often does to peruse My and others ramblings, read it and I'll just say that he too found it amusing. So he and some of the guys had just gotten in from the Sunday Swat and he showed them your post and one of them, I'm going to keep him nameless though his name would be easily recognizable on the board, who is normally a very quiet soft spoken individual however he has a quick subtle wit that is hilarious, is sitting at our table with Dave and basically 3 groups(foursomes), he puts his phone on the table in front of him on "speaker" and calls me. I recognized the number as he's in my phone. This is to my Best recollection...

"Me: Hey Bro, how'd ya Play?

Caller: Fine thank you. Is this Richard(He knows damn well who it is as I'm also in his phone)?

Me: Of course it is. You dialed me from your phone. What's up?

Caller: Can you connect me to Sporting Goods?

Me: Bro, WTF are you talking about(I hear a couple of giggles in background)

Caller: Dave said that you were working at The Mart this morning and I'm part of that 95%, so Please, just connect me to Sporting Goods"

Now I hear Dave's recognizable cackle and a few other guys laughing and my Bud finally breaks his serious tone and asks if I can get him a "family discount" on some Stones 330S balls, lmao

Today sorta sucks and though yankin the needle stung a bit, the laughs and humor were worth it?

If you ever need some balls, give me a holler and I'll get ya the family discount on either Stones or the Staff Duos??

Thanks for making me laugh!!

Stay well and have a Great week?

My Best,

RP

^ looks like you seem to care. A lot. As well as the other guy above. What did he do to you guys? Kick your dog? Steal your girl? Live a life you're envious of?

Doesnt have to be any of those things to judge him but that is the typical drfense of those who may not know how someone really acts. Ive seen it in person, hes a disgrace to the sport ( unless hes had a MAJOR change in personality) and a DB. It has nothing to do with anything you mentioned or his little sad life story.

Guys an as#hole.

This article is simply him telling people about his view of his life. Not setting anything straight.

You want to set something straight??

How about how you've belittled a struggling mini tour pro in front of a crowd

of people in your living room while you were snorting coke off the kitchen counter. Just a guy asking for your advice about what you thought he should do to get to the show. I watched my buddy walk out of the room almost in tears.

How about asking for tons of free merchandise from Taylormade and then Callaway just so you could sell it on the bay to support you coke habit.

Yeah man, you really struggled and set us all straight.

I'll say this about Perez. He's an amazing talent. Maybe one of the most talented guys out there. He'd have to be for how little he's worked at the game. Probably struggled with the game less than anyone I've ever met.

Real sob story. Middle class living in one of the nicest parts of the U.S. Had a 2 income family and access to golf and a free education. Won tournaments with next to no effort and has been on tour for years with a drug habit.

Where do I send my sympathy card and donation?

This.

Self entitled waste of talent.

What should be posted that would meet your approval?

Let's start with some general guidelines and go from there.

Listening to Pat on "Out of Bounds" right now. It's like hanging out at a bar just BS'ing. Very casual, relaxed, free flowing. I think it's cool he's on a couple hours a week and will listen in the future. I doubt many players could come off so natural, just being one of the guys. Heck I can hear his little dog barking every now and then, Pat clapping his hands for the dog to shut the F up. Yep, he's okay in my book. You wouldn't like just hanging out with him? All this somehow makes him a DB? Geez...

Say whatever...just my take.
