This is the Acushnet Heel Shafted Flange II, the difference between the I and the II is that the I had a slight offset and this model(Heel Flange II) did not. When you think about there being OVER 400 variations of the simple Buls Eye blade, from head designs to weights, lengths, grips, lies, lofts, material(brass, brass/aluminum, etc), that's pretty incredible. Their Daddy was John Reuter, Jr., whose first Bulls Eye came to market around 1940. The rights to the Bulls Eye was sold to Acushnet(Titleist) in 1958. The vast majority were off the blade configuration and made of a soft brass though the amount of brass varied from batch to batch and year to year, lol. The yellower the color, the more brass and the softer the feel, versus the darker brown denoting less brass used in the process. Mine is a little darker, firmer(see shaft band) and I remember when I picked it there were some lighter and some darker and this felt(sounded) best to me. My Teacher, Pete, like his lighter color(softer) and Sam even darker than mine and he always complained that he couldn't find one "firm" enough for his ear.

Odyssey Black Series Tour Design #8

- 35"

-HW:

~ 35"(Pictured)..339.91gr(330gr stamped)

~ 33/34".....349.83gr(340gr stamped)

~ Lie: 70*

~ Loft: 3*

Offset: 1/2 shaft

The #8 has a three material construction:

~ 1025 carbon steel body

~ tungsten Flange(gets ball rolling end over end quicker)

~ thin urethane dampening layer between them

This was my backup to my 8802 and this is an incredible blade. I've got 3 different Napas and this blew every one of em outa the water.

The other thing, and though I only use OEM covers for storage of my putters, as when they go into the bag, along with my metals and hybrids, they get a custom cover, this is the nicest, classiest and Best constructed OEM cover I've ever had. That includes Scottys, of which I've gotta few. It just looks, feels and oozes Class and quality. Though I've not seen the covers for the other putters in the Black Series TD line, I've gotta believe that they are similar in appearance, fit and cunstruction. This is the Best magnet set-up I've seen. Oh yea, I blacked out the "Black Series" cuz while I don't consider myself OCD, looking at "Black Series" in white bugged the shat outa me, lol. I know I know, it's black on black and someone can't see black on black from say, 10', but I don't care what someone sees from 10', lmao. I'm at peace with black on black, lol

Odyssey hit a grand slam with this putter/cover and it blew anything else, some of which were 2-3 times the cost, off the map.

Just my .03 worth of course :)

Stay well My Friends?

It's amazing what guys will pay for identical designs as retail models ....with minimal feel differences

Great point, though sometimes, there is more to the differences than just "feel." I get what you're saying however if it is a true Tour club, and I don't care what the club, from driver to Putter and all between, however the specs on the Tour stuff is much more exacting and accurate and though it should not be the case, so sometimes is the quality and craftsmanship.

That being said, with the exception of my T, which was a gift to me that I know the lineage of the putter, every other club in my bag was a retail OTR club, with even the shaft in my last driver in '12 being a "made for," lol.

Hey WTF, it went where I aimed and was good by me, lol

This is an one of the first run Mac milled IronMaster model 600 blades. Mac actually was the first company to introduce a flanged blade and the creator was later more famous for his drivers and

Woods however he designed a series of flanged blades of which I've got two of them and they are beyond legendary, into the realm of the Iconic.

I love the Ferrule!!

Hopefully his nephew, Charlie, a member on the board, drops into this thread because his knowledge is incredible and his memories and stories even more so.

This is one of my three favorite All-Timers, along with my 8802 and another blade that Madison just found in my other closet and is bringing to me, lol.

Here is my baby. My putter collection started with me buying a studio 1 before going college. Paid full retail at an Edwin watts for it and it changed my life regarding putters. I kept it in decent shape all these years and even though I didn't gamer as much I wanted to, and I thought would be fitting to send her out for a makeover. I had the headlight changed to 360 and she comes in at 363 finished, I added s T sight alignment that I love from the original dot, and the finish my photos can't do justice. It is a black nickel sorta deal, matte at address and spectacular polish on face and sole. It looks everything from black to silver in light. It didn't lose a drop of carbon feel goodness with the weights, in fact it feels softer but the sweet spot may be a hair smaller, and I was making putts with it earlier today at the practice green so it is not a practice mat diva, but in my game rotation. The 363g head in a blade is truly awesome and it is just all on all cylinders, plays as good as it looks. In my very biased opinion, this is one of the best Cameron's on the planet.

I need to add some Reasons to my collection.....

Love the Skull graphics, wicked!

And Richard, I have to say, I like the Mac version better, that is sexy.

Thanks Bro!! Madison found my fave Cleve "Designed By," the BeCu. Superb feel. I also will put up another Mac that she found. This VIP was actually my fave of the group and though I had all four, I wasn't and am not a "collector(hoarder maybe, collector, no ;) )," Lord only knows where they are though I forgot that this was at home and was convinced that someone lifted it from my locker. I read the riot act at a board meeting, 6-7 years ago about theft at the club, lmao. I'm gonna have to remember to apologize to them and tell em that I(Madison) found it,??. I know Maddie will remember to remind me?

Anyhoo, this is the BeCu-

Approximately what year?

Have a nice week Bro?

The Rife Bimini was a very sweet blade and I like the face and roll, which was at the forefront of milled grooves/striations and the fact that it was heavier than the standard blade...

Well, Madison never ceases to amaze me as she found another one of my long lost putters in the back of my cedar closet, underneath my ski wear, lmao. This is my fave from the TP series, the 16. The reason is that Pete knew Mr. Mills and had this putter made to my secifications(well, actually what Pete thought should be my specifications, lol). The original TP and Tour Series putters were 5-7* lofts and mine was 3*, which ironically is what his later released Tour Series II were at 2-3*.

Beautiful collection of blade putters. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks a lot DE :)

Here's another sweet blade, a 1969 8843, My brass baby, lol. I won my first Club with it in 1986. Put it away the following year and then sorta lost it, found it and was gonna have it regripped but Maddie was like "WTH," lol, cuz I already had quite a few bag ready blades, lol.

The 8843 is the Fg-59 of blade putters. As you can see in address, there ain't a lot of metal heel to toe and I really liked that both in my irons and my putter.

Anyhoo-
