Augusta Desktop Wallpaper

Downloaded the Masters app for my iPad. It has some amazing pictures of the course. Does anyone know where to get similar pictures for use as a desktop wallpaper? Preferably in 1920x1080 resolution.

I would second this. If anyone has any high resolution photos from their visit to share. I think it would be great to have a thread with various photos people could download for their wallpaper or such.

I am a horrible photographer so mine from my trip there were nothing special. I did find a few good ones on google images.

I saw one the other day that was from a view I haven't seen before. It was high in the trees to the right of 13 green. It really was a neat new view.

Can you just click and hold on the picture until the save image option comes up? Then it saves it in your pictures and you can go in and set the picture as your wallpaper.

Sorry, reading comprehension is not my strong suit, I see you said for a desktop. After you save the picture, email it to your desktop and then set it as your background (I'm such a technology idiot, can't believe I'm trying to give someone advice on this subject).

Sorry, not "same image", but "save image".

I will admit I havent tried this method on the iPad. However I think it is unlikely. The course images that show up seem to be embedded in the application. You scroll through various pictures of each hole.

You're correct. I just downloaded the app and I couldn't save the picture.

What exactly are you looking for when it comes to your wall paper? You want a specific hole? Because I might be able to whip something up for you.

Tough trying to find high quality photos with large resolutions. Took this one scaled it up a little bit then cropped to your requested dimensions.

 

Edit: Bollocks, the forum scales it down... gimme a sec

 

 

 

Edit 2: Still won't keep the dimension I want... Need another sec...

 

 

Final Edit: I might just have to email them as I can't find a good way to host and share it without the service resizing the image... If anyone knows of a place that won't resize images let me know.

I didn't have anything particular in mind. Just wanted to browse some photos and select one for the day, maybe switch it out each day. I figure I am stuck in the office until Friday, I might as well get into the Masters spirit even more.

I used the one you edited below, it pretty sweet, just a little grainy on the high resolution.

I went to the round on Monday and took a bunch of pictures. Photography is a hobby of mine, so I really enjoyed snapping some pictures while there. I will try to work on getting some edited and uploaded soon (large resolution). I'll probably just start a new thread.

I managed to upload the picture with the two stone bridges, but I really don't know how I got it done. I believe I put the link on my wall, then clicked on "use as wallpaper". I don't even know which hole it is, (can someone help?) although IMHO, the best picture on there.
