Holy COW!!!!!!!

go to golfsmith last night and am trading in my personal set of RAC CB's for the new RAC LT's. For some reason the trade in value is very high on this set. with their trade in days, i am getting $754 in trade plus tax....coming to just over $800 trade in value for the set!!!!

Still cant believe the huge amount in trade value!!! Golf Galaxy was only going to give me $250 for the set.

Anyone know why there is such a huge diff?

That's interesting...I've seen varying prices on that set. On the one hand, last fall I could've gotten my hands on a set for about $300 US and this spring I saw a set sell for $700 Cdn. One of my favourite looking sets of irons, until I saw the new 05 TP CBs. Very classy though.

It might be Golf Smith special promotion period. You get additional percentage for trading in your stuff. I might re-shaft my club and trade in the old shaft. I'll get 10% off for the services and materials.

I think there is a promotion on right now (from a tv add) that they are offering 30% above trade in value.

they give pretty high number for trades, says for those irons in like new just bout what you got for em. so good deal.

they gave me like new condition. Not bad considering i paid $400 for them brand new!!!

I was in my local GS a month ago, and some guy had the 2004 combo set, and they gave him over $400 for them. With the additiona 30% when you buy something over $250.00, that could add up. I know my GS gives great trade in value, but then they also sell them higher than most. They gave me $140 for a Cobra 414 Comp a month ago, at Golf Mart I would have gotten half that if I was lucky.

The tradein value of my R5 TP is listed at $303, which is more than I could eBay it for. Does anyone know if they will allow you to use this against TaylorMade (R460) or Cleveland (Hibore) drivers?

 

There are some restrictions noted on the list.

i got an e-mail from them...forget when...but they are having a promotion...not sure how long it will last, but the trade-in values you are seeing are not normal
