UPDATE - I feel like a huge jerk cause buyer sent me a PM saying he's sorry but he's been in the hospital all week and that he'll get the putter out asap. I should have known something was up.

I'm here worrying about a stupid 2Ball putter while a guy was in the hospital. I'll say it again - I'm a jerk.

This is a great lesson..

Everyone is going thru something

I would not consider you a jerk at all. How were you supposed to know?

And call me tainted or heartless but unless you are in an ICU or something of this sort most hospitals I am aware of have Internet access. Heck even in the PCU unit they allowed computers and had WiFi when my Dad was in there. Unless you are comatose odds are either a smart phone or a PC with WiFi would allow you to still check on things online.

WOW!!!

There's no "wow" to it.

When I was in the hospital I was bored to tears. I loved having my pc with me and checking email and such. How long would it take to shoot an email out after a couple of days? My Dad was in the PCU and was on and off of a CPAP device to stabilize his CHF. And he was shooting emails out left and right letting everyone know he was ok.

I get it - this guy was in the hospital so the last thing on his mind is sending an email out about something he didn't ship.

WOW! Double down!

You (we) have literally no idea why he was in the hospital. There are dozens of potential reasons to be incommunicado. I simply can't imagine begrudging a man for not communicating on GolfWRX when he's in the hospital.

I know the drama of DOND is lifeblood to some of you, but it really isn't life or death. The guy who had two putters floating out who knows where is handling this better than you are. It's crazy. So yeah, wow!

Funny thing is, I've heard the hospital excuse so many times it isn't possible that they were all true. At this point I almost want a pic of the hospital paperwork with dates! Hahahaha

Not lifeblood. No skin in the game. But the only "wow" is that (sadly) there are members who will use an excuse that didn't really happen/does not exist which leaves other members lacking, shall we say, trust. (See reply above)

And I work in and around hospital all of the time. Trauma centers, cardiac units, stroke facilities, and you name it. I can assure you that the patients I deal with love the idea of keeping occupied and doing something besides laying around watching TV and waiting for the next exam, visit, rehab session, or whatever. One gent just a short while back was suffering a heart attack and we were inbound to the cardiac unit. And he was on Facebook.

Call me skeptical of whatever. As I said I have no skin in this game.

Some perspective here. Yes, this really happened to me about 14 hours ago. Earlier today, I was involved in a car accident. My wife was driving, I was in the front passenger seat, and we were taking my daughters to their soccer game. Someone swerved in front of us and my wife could not avoid them. Airbags deployed, rescue squad was called in. I had some minor scratches on my face. I had neck and back pain so they put a brace on my neck and wheeled me off in a stretcher. At the hospital I got a CT scan and some x-rays as precaution. Thankfully my vertebrae was intact and I was discharged. My wife also got x-rays for her arm. My daughters got checked out too. Lucky for us everything turned out to be negative. Aside from being sore the next few days, we should be fine. But my point is that these things do happened when we least expect it. The last thing on my mind would have been to ship a putter, especially if I was at the hospital long term. I was more concerned about my family. Imagine if something serious had happened to my daughters - I would have been decimated.
