I have the 52 and 60 degree wedges. Love the looks of the wedge heads and how they set up.

Demoed the wedges with D. Gold R 300SL shafts and D. Gold S 300SL shafts. I bought the S-300 SLs, felt the R 300 SLs were too light.

After I bought the wedges, I questioned the playability of the S 300 SL shafts in the wedges, because the clubs felt too light and I felt shot dispersion with the 52 degree wedge was too wide for a scoring club. (The stock length for all J33 wedges is 35 inches.)

I had the wedges reshafted with Dynamic Gold S300s at 35.25 (1/4 inch over). Wedges are now much heavier and shot dispersion has improved. (The D. Gold shaft is a stock shaft offered in the J33 wedges.)

I may regrip clubs with a full cord grip rather than a Velvet grip. I like the present length, but I can always have the clubs cut back to the standard length of 35 inches if I feel they are too heavy.

I do like the clubs and I do recommend them.

I do have high expectations of clubs that I use the most, e.g., drivers, wedges and putters.

As an information note:

Kick and feel of standard R300 D. Gold SL was great, clubs just too light for me.

Feedback from some golfers on the D. Gold R 300 SLs shaft is that it may be a little stiffer than the standard D. Gold R 300.

You guys dont like these wedges?

I am sorry but I dont have a lot to compare to this. What I can tell you is that these wedges spin a lot more then my old Tommy Armour ones, dont know the model. I can suck the balls back easily now and thats something I could NEVER do before. I also find the grind on these wedges perfect as they divits stay shallow, which allows me to control my distance more consistently. These wedges tear the covers of the balls quite well but not overly bad. Really what you expect from most wedges. The black satin finish does fade but it will start to rust shortly after as per the sticker from Bridgestone on the clubs.

I also shot my lowest round of the year with these, without even taking them onto the range first.

Also Lance, it sucks they made clubs they dont hit straight! Give me a break...

Has anyone played these wedges? I'm considering purchasing 2 of them. Any feedback would be appreciated!

I have the Black 60* 8 Bounce. I love it so easy to flop around the greens. Easy to control. Not the best spinner but good enough. You deffinatly can land a 40 yd within 10 feet easiley every time.

Good feal too.

Why no love for these wedges? I would have thought they will have the following that the J33 Forged CBs and Combos have.

TaylorMade Stealth HD 10.5* Driver
Taylor Made Stealth 2 16.5* Wood
Callaway Apex 21 Hybrids 21* & 24*
Callaway Apex 21 Irons P-6
Cleveland RTX ZipCore 54/10 and 60/6 Wedges
Slighter Seattle Custom Putter

Ok so here we go. I just purchased all three wedges off of proshopwarehouse.com so here is the question. I have the 52* and 56* Carnoustie, how do you think they will compair? Also I bought the J33 Combo set last week. They are good clubs, but did notice they hit anywhere from 1\2 a club from PW-8 to a Full club on my 7-2 iron. I had the lofts strengthened 1 degree on my PW-8 and 2 degrees from my 7-2 iron.

I just got the 56 & 60 degree wedges new off of Ebay and really, really like them. I had been hitting the same wedge set that I got when I first started playing which were the Adams Tom Watson package deal and these are a huge improvement over those clubs. The first thing that I noticed was the increased weight which gives a nice feeling of stability upon impact. The spin is great and I haven't noticed too much wear and tear on the black finish. I've only got a few rounds on them so far but overall I am very impressed.

Yes it's the clubs fault that the ball doesn't go straight. Gimme a break.
