Most birdies you have made without breaking par?

I once had 9 birdies and shot over par, I kid you not. Shot a 2 over 74. Didn't make a par until the 12th hole. Thought I was going to par the 10th hole because I left my approach shot short of the green. I remember my buddies jabbing me and saying "he may finally make a par"....then I preceded to chip in for birdie lol..

It was one of those days. I couldn't miss a putt if I tried but my ball striking was great one hole and horrendous the next. This was about five years ago before I got used to going low so to speak and I'll never forget it lol. Finished with 9 birdies, 4 doubles, 3 bogeys and 2 pars.

One round couple of weeks ago, 4 birdies shot 76. I have never broken par.

Few days ago I had 3 on the front nine and was still 3 over going to the back. Shot 80 that round.... I love this game.

Four, which just happened this afternoon. I shot 74 on a par 72. My driver was not matriculating the ball down the fairway very well.

I just hate the lack of matriculation!......LOL

Even worse matriculation today. An eagle and three birdies for a 74. FML.

I know of at least one where it was 6, I had the dreaded Mark of the Beast, 6-6-6....6 birds, 6 pars and 6 bogeys. Although I did mange to break par, the most frustrating was a tournament round a few yrs ago, make 6 birds thru 8 without a bogey and lip out another on 9 for a 30. Now this is uncharted territory for just about any human, much less me, who was about a solid 3 at time. 10 is a reachable straight away par 5 and I can't wait to get to the 10th tee and keep the train rolling. Sure enough, as we turn the corner of the clubhouse there is a cart parade at the 10th tee, double tee start and the people waiting to go for green in 2 has put that side about 45mins behind, so we have at least 5 groups ahead waiting. We go inside to grab a beer and a snack to kill time and the guys im playing with are telling everyone but the kitchen staff about the guy that is going to break the course record today and win the tournament tomorrow. Pro is telling me that is the record for that side and I have the overall in a stranglehold. Finally get to tee off and dead block it into the trees and make a sloppy 6, bogey 11 and 12 for good measure, do mange to put 2 more birds on the card, but follow them up with a nice triple and manage to post 40 that felt like 55 at least. Tell me on 1st tee that I can sign for -2 and go to bar without pulling a club, I would have broken your hand grabbing the pencil, but that 70 ended up feeling more like an 80. Post a smooth 77 on Sun to not even place in tournament. Good thing the engraver wasn't putting my name on Jug on Sat afternoon like everybody else was doing.

7 birdies shot +7(79) when i was young and foolish..

PS..just remembered i also started one round with a bogey then 5 birdies in the next 7 holes and ended with a bogey on 9 for a -3(33) on the front..

promptly hit OB on #10 for a double and made 7 pars and 1 bogey for the next 8 holes for a 33-39=72(even par with 5 birdies)..

My last round...birdied the first like a pro. Thinking this could be the round everything comes together.

Second hole...shanked an 8 iron onto the rough on the downslope of the next tee box. Made double. There weren't any more birdies that day. Just a lot of tap in bogeys and a few pars. Then finished double, bogey, double, double. For an 86. Thinking about taking up fishing. ?

Hey I finally made enough birdies to bother posting in a thread like this! 5 birdies.

I played a round in Scottsdale on the weekend, went out in 6 over 42, and shot even par 36 on the back, as a 12.7 index.

Birdied 8, 10, 11, 12, and lipped out a birdie on 13 by an inch for what would have been 4 in a row! Birdied 18 to make it 5 for the day.

Front 9 did me in, but as a 12.7, I can't exactly be mad at my 8.3 diff.

Funniest part was having enough vodka and G2's that when I missed the putt on 13 my buddy tells me that would have been 4 in a row and I didn't believe him. Had a look at the scorecard and was shocked! haha

3 birdies and an Eagle and didn't even shoot my handicap (15). Was at La Cala resort in Spain on the America course. Eagled the first and thought I was onto a winner but wasn't to be. Was so wild off the tee that day, which you can't afford to be at La Cala. Was giving myself chances when I got it in play, but didn't happen enough, lost a few balls that day.

Some of these high birdie/high score rounds are insane. Were you guys just playing balls out risky or something?

I mentioned shooting an 86 with 3 birds and an eagle at Whispering Woods. It was on a weekend trip with 24 guys and format was gross skins.

I had 3 triple bogeys as a result of taking risks I normally wouldn't take. I vividly remember trying to play to a back pin and flying the green with water long. I wasn't even upset because I knew the risk, made the shot, and it just didn't work out.

I won skins on 3 of the four holes, and it was encouraging to see my potential.

8, shot 73. Another round had 3 eagles and 2 birdies, shot even. And 5 birdies in a 9 hole round and shot +1. I guess I do some Phil Mickelson impressions every now and then.
