Any good players looking for playing partners in Vancouver?

I live in Vancouver, looking to hopefully find some good local players to play with. I'm 28 and a single digit cap.

 

As much as I love playing golf, as I improve my game more and more I'm growing less fond of playing with the 25-30 handicap crowd. No offense to anyone who is a high capper, but I find a key to continually improving your game is to play with better players, share ideas, comments, etc. You also play much faster when you don't have someone putting up a 8 on every second par 4.

 

Anyways if you're an avid golfer who can play pretty good, drop me a line and let's get out for a round. I play usually play Mcleery, Fraserview, UBC, Hazelmere, Peace Portal and also have Nexus to play in Bellingham/Point Roberts quite a bit.

I just started playing again after 3-4 years off so looking for some better players to play with as well. Do you play in local tournaments? I'm trying to find what's out there as I never was into the happenings nor did I ever play junior golf.

I just noticed how dead it was as well but your post looks pretty recent. Are you in Vancouver as well or in the outlying areas?

 

Similar situation as well, just getting back into the game have been formerly a pretty decent player.

Why not join the macleery golf club as then you can be paired with lower handicaps. Also, there's a good bc golfers meet up, meetup.com, group that play a wide range of courses in the lower mainland.

I checked out the meet up.com group a couple of weeks back. There's nothing if you live in Vancouver. They play one course in Burnaby, everything else is way out in the valley. I normally never get out to the valley but I played Redwoods yesterday. Never get tires of playing there.

If you guys are looking for a good local group checkout 604 golf group on meetup. Extremely well-run league and plays some great courses.
