Interesting that it looks like he has 3 sets of grips. I think the grips on his wedges are smaller - so maybe a feel thing.

I would like black finish clubs so much more if they didn't look like that after a short while.

I actually think the worn finish looks pretty sweet and probably helps frame the ball.

This is how I feel about raw wedges, the hitting area stays clean and the rest rusts, I like how it frames the sweet spot. The black will do the same!

Don't get me wrong, its not a deal breaker, as my wedges and fw are black finish and look worse than that by far. I just don't like how quickly it disappears.

love the blacked out look that goes silver on the strike mark after a while,

Still surprised Vokey dont do the rusty finish wedges, used to love them,

Like the Beryilum Copper Ping Zing 2 putter, leaving them in a can of coke overnight and coming up all shiny the next day!

Which GP grip is that on his wedge?

If you mean the orange one, he used to play a version of the Golf Pride Niion that was solid orange without the "honeycomb" section from the retail version. I assume this one is the same grip. If I remember correctly, it had a softer feel than the Tour Velvet. Anyone feel free to correct me if you know any different!

Only on GolfWRX...

I currently have a di 6s....I'd say I carry the ball ~245-255. It felt like a noodle.

Two other friends tested it and are also wrx'ers, I'll let them chime in with their thoughts...

Or you all can try it as it's sitting in my living room about to be listed.

Definitely more whippy than I expected out of a shaft that's supposed to be super low spin. I play the Kiyoshi Purple 6X and I know that's pretty stout so maybe I'm just used to that but even the DI 6X I thought was less whippy. The Atmos was definitely smooth though, just not the shaft for me either.
