Beautiful collection of blade putters. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks a lot DE :)

Here's another sweet blade, a 1969 8843, My brass baby, lol. I won my first Club with it in 1986. Put it away the following year and then sorta lost it, found it and was gonna have it regripped but Maddie was like "WTH," lol, cuz I already had quite a few bag ready blades, lol.

The 8843 is the Fg-59 of blade putters. As you can see in address, there ain't a lot of metal heel to toe and I really liked that both in my irons and my putter.

Anyhoo-

I'm definitely having it regripped now, lol

Have a great weekend Bro and thanks again for the kind words

My Best,

Richard

Very special putter here. When they say "they don't make them like that anymore" - this is one of the omnes they are talking about. Congrats Richard, I hope she still gets a run with that grip now and again! :-)

You have a really great collection hoard of blade putters there, Richard. And a closet so full of magical discoveries that you will probably end up in Narnia if you go all the way to the back.

Here is the 'brother' to my SCM5 'Scottymaster' - the Japan release Tour Prototype Scottydale. Basically a Long Neck Newport with the attractive Nickel / Black Star finish. This beauty still has the grip in plastic with the care instructions in Japanese. It is a very cool looking stick with 'Scottydale' on the neck and X-SLC on the sole. The SLC stands for Summer Lynne Cameron named after his first daughter. Manufactured in 1996 with a limited run of 3000, it has stunning milling.

Though Kevin has made many exceptional putters, this is probably his most notable, as this was the model that Sergio's Mentor, JM, used to get his green jacket, however Kevin's putters were in the bags of over two dozen world wide top-tier Tour winners. This is carbon steel and yes, this putter has the "invisible" copper insert just below the putter face surface and while it is visible up close at certain angles, I've taken 6-8 pics and it does not show in a picture. Peculiar indeed, lol. I actually asked a nurse if she saw this feint outline of an oblong shape as I thought that I might be imagining things with having just had my dilaudid shortly before, and she said yes and asked if it was adhesive from a sticker that had been removed from the face, lol.

This putter was hand ground and all at this time were personally inspected by Kevin prior to heading out the door, just like Scotty did

I confess that I don't putt all that well with a "blade" but have always had a soft spot for this Tad Moore model. Picked up for a good price in shoddy condition and refinished by the crew at Continental. Finish stripped, uglies removed, blasted to a satin finish and clear coated. Face lightly re-milled. In transit as I type. Wish I had taken images before the transformation.
