Odd Wedge Set up

So I ditched my 50/55/60 set up because my wedge play has been awful. I was basically a full shot robot with them with absolutely no creativity or touch. My PW is 46 degrees. I also have the Gap at 50 but it's not shafted. I just bought some Fourteen TF Forged wedges at 52 and 58. I gotta say I'm loving it. I'm using the 52 for anything around the green that I can run or some short pitches and using the 58 when I need a little up and over or bunker shot. Here's my deal, I bought a matching S400 shaft to put in my CMB gap wedge but I'm actually thinking about leaving my wedge set up at 52/58. This puts my controlled swing Gap wedge at about 115-120, my 52 at 105-115, and my 58 at 95-105. I don't mind this at all. It still leaves me with a 52 that I can bump and run without having the loft of a 54-56 to play with which was killing me with short chips or runs. I was leaving everything short. With the 52 I can take an effortless go at it and watch it run. I wouldn't use the CMB Gap around the greens. It would essentially be full shots from 115 plus. So my question is does anyone or has anyone seen someone use a 4-Gap off a 50 Gap and then play essentially another Gap in the form of a specialty wedge 52 (or even 53), and then a specialty lob in the form of a 58 (or even a 60)? For what it's worth the Fourteen TF have a versatile C grind with 10 bounce in the entire line up which I absolutely love as I like to get creative with the face and swing path. Look forward to the responses. I'm a headcase over this right now.

I just picked up the exact same wedges today myself. They look awesome and felt nice and soft on full shots. Distance was very consistent and spin rate was exceptional. The sole made chipping seem effortless (from the PGATSS mat). Can't want to take them on the course.

I've been up and down with ease since I went to this set up. Great versatility with the grind on these. I don't foresee going back to a 3 wedge set up anytime soon. I'm going to snatch a few backup sets as well. For $49 now you can't beat it for a premium wedge forging with an S400 shaft.

Sounds perfect! A set matched 50 and a speciality 52 are very different animals, i wouldn't hesitate carrying both if you like them. And unless you are always between a 46 and a 52, there is no reason to fill that gap if you don't want to...

Actually my new set is based off a 47 Pw and I don't bag the set gap. So now my set up is even more simple. 47pw 52 Gap 58 Lob. Been magical since this switch.

Great to hear! I absolutely love the shape and the grind looks so versatile. Not to mention the butter soft feel.
