What a terrific US Open !

Great course

great golf

fun leaderboard even w/o a major player

Fox has been really good ... Zinger isn't mumbling, Buck is much improved, Fax terrific. Interviews with the Baconator are short and informative. Inkster is soooo much better than Dottie more Pepper.

The Ken Brown features are very cool ... He needs a bigger role

Limited time with Teflon Holly ... thank god

No mention of that puke Mike Davis for hours. No David I'm so smart Fay interviews.

Nice job Fox ... blowing away CBS miserable Masters coverage. Could you imagine Kostis with his boy Paul Casey in contention like this especially after another triple bogie. Or Ian Baker Duck Hook with only one Aussie playing well and he doesn't even know Leishman is from there.

Tomorrow should be quite a day !

I agree except for the comment about Holly. We need more Holly. And Buck.... still has a long way to go.

I would argue that Brooks is on the verge of superstardom. He has a ton of top 5s in majors and may have turned a corner with his confidence.

Brooks definitely elevates his game in the majors. His three starts in the Masters have produced, in order, finishes of 33rd, 21st and 11th. Great trend there, and he certainly appears to have the game necessary to don the coveted green jacket.

Since turning pro his U.S. Open finishes have gone 4th, 18th, 13th and 1st. He tied 10th in his last British Open appearance, at St. Andrews in 2015, and his last three PGA Championship finishes are 15th, 5th and 4th.

Rare is the golfer who not only steps up his game for the biggest championships, but also plays well in all four majors.

Brooks Koepka is definitely on the brink of stardom, and he will certainly win more major championships.

I prefer it when the superstars win the big golf

Tournaments but good for brooks

This Open had all the memorability of Orville Moody at Houston Champions.

If the USGA thinks Erin Hills is a great golf course, then I'm ready to stop giving them money after 35 years.

11,000 yards long and -16 wins?!?!

Why move tees up on into-the-wind holes? Why can't even the big hitters occasionally have to hit a 4 or 5 iron second shot?

How many fairways and GIR did Koepka have? The number was off the charts for an average tour event, much less a US Open.

He played great, no doubt. But the width of the fairways and the sheer size of the greens were absurd.

And the greens had more backboards and sideboards than miniature golf.

Just awful!

People say that about every first-time major winner. Rarely are they right.

Cmon, ydmt.

The kid was a stud out there. Goes out on a Sunday, some accolades, some praise as an up and comer, but no experience in this situation. A major on the line

And he freakin kills it. I dont care if you dont like the course. It did cut 8 of the top 12 in the world, but fine, not your thing.

But give this guy some credit. You go out on a Sunday for the US Open.

And you deliver. Pound it out, work and get it done hole after hole. Extend the lead.

Close.

This guy is a champion. This is what competition is all about.

I agree with everything you just said. Brooks was a beast...this week. I was only making the point that extrapolating this week into winning multiple majors in the future is waaaay premature.
