Can't see the difference on the TMB, the AP1 is nice though, wonder if it still has 2 wedges system or not

Based on the response to their limited release "smoke" colored AP1, I'm surprised the new ones are not smoke.

A Titleist fitter that I know thought the limited release of the smoke colored AP1s were done as a test for future irons.

Yep, Titleist had more then a few one night stands with Callaway and made beautiful irons.

Anyone hear about the specs of the 718 AP1 vs. the 716 AP1? I hope they are the same offset, loft and lie but with more tungsten/bigger sweet spot. They don't look bigger but so hard to tell even in the pictures of all the new irons together

Additionally, does anyone know how many wedges are in this AP1 718 set? Hopefully, they get rid of the W1/W2 thing, gapping is a mess.

I'd like to hit the TMB's, don't think they can be improved on though, but maybe they gave them more forgiveness. Looks like they may have less bounce which I'd love, but the current set doesn't have allot either.

They've shown all the irons and what not, I'm a little surprised the hybrids haven't been leaked out.

 

I can't wait to try the 718 ap2, but it's possible I'm even more excited for the hybrids.

TourSpec Golf Japan said this about the T-MB's when they were released earlier this year in Japan:

 

It does look practically the same as the 716 T-MB but there is an evolution of design and aesthetics that took place in the creation of this new model starting with its internal weighting system which is now improved with a new shape covering more area within. Titleist says this new system helps get the T-MB launching easier yet with its strong lofts it still results in a penetrating trajectory. The weighting system from the outside is also a new gloss black color instead of the matte grey of the previous generation 716. Titleist has expanded the tungsten structure on the heel and toe side bringing the MOI up and lowering the CG to make it even easier to hit. We do expect a #2 iron as well. Titleist Japan is saying that they have found a way to make the new T-MB more forgiving than even the current model AP2

When I hit the 718 lineup, I felt like the T-MB was the closest in terms of looks, feel, and performance to the last generation when compared to the other models in the lineup.

Project X Pxi will be the standard but Titleist will have several other stock shaft offerings at no additional upcharge (like AMT Black/Red/White, TT DG, PX, and PX LZ)
