Do big box stores think you are a jamoque?

Recommended Posts

Big box store employee thought I was a jamoque. I asked to demo an EPIC driver, and he said: "you want a 9.5, right?" I said: "no, please get me a 13.5."

When he installed the shaft I saw after 7 duck-hooks on the monitor that he installed it to "Draw."

NO SALE!!!

I must look like a jamoque. What do you need to do to not look like a jamoque? Wear a T-shirt that says: "Hi, my USGA index is:_____"

Or do you just need to be in the "boys club" to not be assumed you slice your drives?

Its my experience that only a jamoque would blame 7 consecutive duck hooks on Draw bias

Accept the fact that more times than not, employees assume you're a bad golfer until proven otherwise. Just smile and ask for your preferred settings. But yeah a true duck hook isn't caused by the draw setting.

And th is a jamoque?

The hardest part about playing a 13.5 degree driver isn't optimizing the draw/fade settings, it's finding a nice man to settle down with and marry

If you put sebum on the face of the driver it will cut down on hook spin.

I keep my driver set to 12. Should I marry a hermaphrodite? Realize there are many WRXers who should be playing a 13.5 but never will because they read your post, couldn't wrap their heads around the humor and were shamed into playing the wrong loft and shaft flex. Shame on you.

Anyone who read that post and thought "oh i better not play the proper loft because some Jabroni in Montreal will mock me" is one soft chick.

Jamoque- One who hits only duck hooks with the driver, blames in on a 1 degree draw bias, then expresses incredulity at the behavior of the salesman.

LOL, your avatar made me laugh.

A jamoque is someone who has intellectual capabilities of a cup of coffee (java and mocha). It also referred to male genitalia in the 60s. Maybe there were many kinds then. I heard they tasted colors and smelled sounds back then...

A jamoque is someone who looks like they slice the ball in the golf store.

Dimples. You asked what I assume are rhetorical questions in the OP. Can you please confirm whether they are true or not.

1. Are you in the "boys club"

2. Do you look like a jamoque?

No, and possibly. Or at least I look like a slicer.

Wondering how to look like a hooker, or at least look straight.

A straight hooker? I would suggest high heels and plenty of mascara.

This guy's best thread was all about cheating your way into a tour win by using sebum off of your face. Didn't take long for that one to get locked.

Is that better or worse compared to them thinking you are a jamoke?

Only a jamoke would spell it jamoque.
