It's official after a day on the course doing driver comparisons. Tensei Pro Orange is going in the driver.

What in your testing sealed the deal? What will you do to raise your club head weight? I assume you're using a hotmelted head already. Swap out the back weight for a heavier weight?

I play D2 in the Kuro Kàge Dual Core XT and changing to the Pro Orange drops the swingweight to D0. I find I like it at D1 with that shaft so I just added 2 grams to the back weight.

what ball are you using? I noticed in this thread you posted trackman numbers with the B330 Tour but in the newer testing thread (that hopefully you continue) you tested with the TP5X

I use a Bridgestone B330 Tour ball. The newest model. I've been trying to get the TP5x ball dialed in with my gapping because it's incredible in the wind, and I find it easier to control wind distance with the irons. I just can't play it until I have all my gaps and distances dialed in because it is longer off the irons, especially mid and long than the B330 Tour. Oddly enough my highest ball speed with any ball is with the 2016 model Tour Preferred ball, non X version, but iron spin is excessive. So many choices.

Can't wait to see what took the top spot! Sticking with the PO?

Yes sir. I finally got another M1 440 8.5. I just was struggling with the larger heads and after cracking the face of my 440 in 7 hits the first time, I wrote the driver off. Dumb move on my part. It's the closest thing to my old Superdeep, which I was actually playing with pretty good results while trying to find the right one. M1 440 slightly edges M1 430. Both are a good bit longer consistently than my Superdeep but I'll tell you on buttoned up hits, that Superdeep is as long as anything.

What is the tipping on your Pro White 80TX fairway shaft? Considering moving from my T1100s to an Orange/White combo similar to yours.

The standard length with the ctaper lite is a shade long. I just had them shortened to go progressively up through my set naturally. They come with C-Taper 105 lite and I switch to ctaper 130x so the weight makes up most of the swingweight difference with a little tweaking by my club guy.

Officially switched to Synergy Black in the driver and went back to M1 430. I'll update pics soon.

I just picked me up another tour issue 430. I couldn’t get along with the 440 so I’m testing the 430 again and it looks suits my eye a lot better. Just have to figure out the shaft to plug in it.

It's just a great driver head. I've hit literally everything out there, and some stuff you won't see for a year or two, and I just do not hit anything as consistently well as that 430 head. I've got a couple 7.5 degree 460 m1 heads that are more forgiving and even a touch hotter on dead center hits, but for whatever reason, I miss the bigger heads block right probably once a round, and I just really don't like that. The smaller head is easier to square, within 2mph of the 7.5 on ball speed, and consistently just as low spin even with almost a degree more loft. Maybe I give up 5 yards with it, but eliminating that right block is my main concern. Taylormade hit a home run with the M1 and M2 in 2016 and I don't think anyone, including them, has made as good a product before or since.

The looks are spot on with the 430. I’m switching from a Nike vapor flex and felt like TM has quality drivers but my first run with the 430 I admittedly didn’t give it long enough before I bailed on it since it was mid season and didn’t want to lose strokes and I switched to the 440 at the start of the season and not matter what nothing could make this driver work. I have a KK 70XTS(tipped 1) to try first in the 430 and if that doesn’t work I’ll try a different shafts but looks wise it checks all the boxes and I remember it felt solid. I have a few shafts to possibly try, Diamana limited d+ 70(tipped 1/2), fubuki J 70x (tipped 3/4). I thought about trying the new TM lineup but after the 17 line I didn’t fall in love so I think I’ll stick with the 430 and they can be had for a decent price.

Interesting to see that you switched to a 60g shaft. With your swing speed, I think most would think you would prefer more weight. Lighter Shaft swing speed and club head speed should increase but sometime dispersion is effected. Interested to hear your thoughts.

It was really by accident honestly. My boss had his 60 gram loaded up and I was hitting it just for the sake of hitting it, and I really couldn't miss the thing. He plays the exact same length and swingweight as I do, so there really was no transition in terms of feel. I liked it so much that I loaded one up in my M1 head and I'm just hitting it super solid almost every strike. I figured I'd run with the set up and see if the honeymoon lasts. Up until this point I've never played any driver shaft regularly that wasn't at least 75 grams. I suppose I've also never run into a 60 gram shaft that spun so little, so it was never really an option.
