2 Majors. Comparing the coverage.

I don't know how often it happens when two tours have a major on the same weekend. Us Senior Open on Fox and Women's PGA on NBC.

 

I'll watch the women most times, unless it's a big PGA event. But today I find myself watching the Senior Open, mostly because they seem to take about 1/2 as many commercial breaks as NBC. I know it's become pretty common here to bash on the coverages, but these two being up against each other makes it seem much more noticeable.

I agree with you that the coverage on Fox is providing more golf than on NBC. I'm still watching the KPMG since I generally don't find the Senior Tour to be entertaining.

That's how I've always been too. Just seems like today they're showing a couple shots of the ladies and then off to commercials. I'm sure it's not that bad, but it feels that way.

The nice thing about the LPGA on NBC, though, is that it doesn't get bumped. The Golf Channel will bump the women's coverage to show a replay of a men's Mini-Tour event from east Podunksville.

 

I'm willing to put up with extra commercials if it means actually getting to see the tournament.
