I went through a build.. stamping option wasn't working.

724 without changing paint fill ($50 for custom paint) and I'm assuming just ordinary stampings...

Stock putter is 500 plus 224 to changed a hosel, finish, added heavier weight plate, black finish, and different grip-- Ill pass.

Interested to see how it all goes.

Big fan but Ill be sitting on the sidelines for this round.

Good Morning all! Today is the day. The Garage is set to go live at 10 PST. The team in Austin is coding as we speak! Like a college all nighter. These people are incredible. This has been literally 7 months in the making. Im sure we'll have missed a few things and there will be a few kinks - but i think its gonna be very cool.

We are excited to bring in this next chapter of Odyssey and Toulon Design as a part of the Company that is the Number one Putter in Golf. I believe this represents a re-birth of sorts for our company and it will get better each day.

We will (as the team always does) be monitoring the comments and suggestions on how we improve very closely. We want you all to be treated as a tour player and have the options that they do. This is just the beginning of that quest.

I hope you enjoy it and one thing I know for sure - These Garage putters will be magnificent - built in the Garage by the same people that build putters for many hundreds of Touring professionals around the world. Thanks for your support and help!

Best,

Sean

wth? you spend that much money and they can't even paintfill it for free...??

Lets give the Garage half a second to actually start before ripping it. The garage is for custom high end stuff and i'm sure in time they will smooth out the program including the pricing sweet spot.

Same thing about the custom wedge paint fill--- it jumps up a bit.

You can't make money giving stuff away but there is always a nice middle ground.

Im just going off my custom built putter I had my hand in everything and its more

Technology advancement in heads I can argue/see, so theres that but the capabilities of being able to make it yours so to say is lacking but it just open. I figure it would be only certain stampings (guessing)

Imagine if they let Anthony Taranto do his things on the putters--- I would definitely think that price range would be right but not right now.

J13-

I can respect that. I haven't said anything I wouldn't tell Sean or anyone personally or rip them just gave my opinion.

Im glad Odyssey/Toulon are getting into this market because it is something WE all have wanted.

Growing pains will occur but getting the thoughts and feedback of the most avid golfers in the world is a bonus, no?

I"m not disagreeing about the charge for paintfill and it certainly wasn't rushed but lets let it open and see how it goes. Anyone in business has sat around a table and jotted down some great ideas on paper only to realize it doesn't work in real life. The market will dictate whether they can or can't charge for certain things so lets let that process play out.

completely agree with you, wasn't trying to rip on them...just noting an area of possible re-work...? lol

Hey all,

The link that has been posted - I'm not sure how it was even found, you guys are clever :) - is very old and really non-functional. The site will go live in about 3.5 hours.

A few things - I know this can be a tough bunch, I've spoken to Richard and team about it many times, but we welcome the feedback, good and bad as long as it is constructive - As for cost, the average builds will be $550-750, depending on the options. Everything about these putters will be done in small batches - milling, grip choices, etc - and built that way by the same people that build Phil's and all of our tour putters - the Garage resides in our Tour department. The pricing is nearly identical to what we did last year - just a lot more options.

Opening soon - and thanks for the initial thoughts -

And to Snaggy above - the Latrobe will be available in two heads weights - 340 and 350. Standard loft is 3 and lie is 70.

Best,

Sean

Only in Golfwrx does everything have to be free. Get's old!

snagy -- putterlounge, labworx, bos, norcal, AND scotty custom shop all include paintfill at no extra charge with customization --

Sorry, that's what I do when I'm in the office early waiting for the coffee to kick in. :)

Thanks for chiming in, I'm looking forward to seeing the site later when it's fully functional. Love the work you did with the Latrobe.

Only in GolfWRX do people take someone's thoughts/opinion (not close-minded or rude) and take it to be asking for something..

Like I said, big fan and glad this customization option has been brought to Odyssey (they have been left behind in this market) and Toulon is a boutique putter brand that might bring them up a notch.

Now with that being said, this is a place that some have spent $1000 + on putters and had everything from stuff etch into the sole to whatever they imagine. It is a great place for people to give honest opinions.

Hopefully it stays this way and doesn't turn into something that it is not.

Thanks Mr. Toulon for continuing to contribute. We all know there is better things you can be doing.

Mr. Toulon,

If milling will be done in small batches, can someone have something else milled on the sole other than yall's logos? Obviously, for a price but is that an option in the future?

Gents,

We are live now and still making enhancements/tweaks to improve the experience. We've built several of these tools now and this one is by far the most complex and extensive offering.

If you notice anything funky or have some feedback shoot me a message.

I was hoping for the Latrobe "King" logo on the sole plate.

It should be there on the Sole Plate.

Is there no stamping on the Austin or neck change?

Can the putters only be adjust 1 weak or 1 strong?

Is there way to show the lie angle in numbers? It looks like it goes flat 2 but only upright 1.

Just what saw while building a Austin.

Should add...nice work to y'all RandyCG.

Yes, there is stamping on the Austin. Just click on the right side to expand the options (we're looking to force that open)

You can only go down to 2 degrees and up to 4 degrees on the loft. Sean can explain why you wouldn't want to do any more than that.

We're working to add the actual lie angles and adjustments by degrees.
