Played with Hunter in a Pro-am a couple weeks ago. He striped the ball all day long. He was a really cool, down to earth dude. With how well he played that day, it's hard to believe he is ranked 700+ in the world.

 

come on, no good stories or any small talk of what he might be working on? 4+ hours with a pro has to be pretty cool.

 

I wouldn't even be playing, I'd just be trying to have them improve my swing and short game.

I love that he is dedicated father but you can still practice 6-7 hours a day play like what 20 weeks a year and be a good father at the same time..lame excuse.

 

It's not a lame excuse if your head isn't in it when you're away from your kids. I would understand anyone who says it takes a toll being away from their family as much as some of these guys are. It takes dedication to be a PGA tour pro for sure, but same can be said for being a real father who is there for his kids. Not everyone can balance it the same way.

 

I have never liked this excuse either. His early warning have spoiled him to where he does have to work that much. I work 50 plus hours a week and am still a good father. He could put in less time than that and be a competent pro.

its amazing that one of the most drooled over swings in golf wanted to be more like Kuchar. Not hating on Kuch but it's a unique swing.

 

Hunter has a pretty left and low exit, hardy O'Connell advocate similar moves, also the flatter swing which hunter has. I think that's why he went to him.

So maybe he saw a similar trait and thought he could help? I guess that makes sense.

 

Read that article posted above, looks like his former caddie went to kuchar, might of had some influence

I watched some of hunter today now that he's been working with Chris. He's playing every shot as a fade and the exit of his shaft is like on his hip, really low. His swing looked better last year when I watched him.
