To add more information to this topic. I read xrays in my line of work although I am not a radiologist. I do not use a 2 dimensional xray to determine an exact position of a landmark. 2 dimensional xrays are good for evaluating anatomy, size, etc. A 3 dimensional CAT scan will give precise positional information.

Again, unless you are using multiple cameras at different levels and positions ...... positional information opined through the use of a single or even two cameras is going to be highly subjective.

Sun, My apologies, as I am not trying to point out your post, its just the most recent of the same point..... With that...

While I understand the basic, scientific, flux capacities, 121 jigawatts of electricity point that the "Camera" view could skew the results.

just visually looking at it though seems much more realistic, that it was placed. in error. I mean it seems pretty blatent, regardless of the camera location? Front back, up, down to the side.

The ball was marked to the side, BUT then was replaced in front...... I personally think it was an honest accident I dont think Rahm did it with malice. I think in the heat of the moment and the urgency to move he forgo,t he marked to the side of the coin. With that...... ignorance of the "law" is no excuse. Just because you didnt know you cant steal a slurpee, does exonerate you from it.

So I get it, Its not exact science..... But even the rules officials questioned it. BUT to Shigly's point... the rules official has the option to exercise prudent judgement. While I think that is honestly fair....and helps with the spirit of the game.... to me It just sucks as again, if I was Lexi, I would be PPPPIIISSSSSEEEDDDD!!!

I just hope that a consistency of judgement will be used because honestly with the debate I had with Shigly.... you put a lot of power in the rules officials hands....and one day they could feel generous and another day, they can be strict as hell.....YIKES.......

Geez, you could at least spell my name correctly :( Lexi should be happy-kinda. She got a rule changed for the better. We cannot tell in the Rahm video "exactly" how close to the original spot he replaced the ball. All of this mumbo jumbo about reversing the procedure is moot if it gets put back in the right place. The procedure is as much irrelevant noise as Langers putting stroke appearance. Many complaining about Rahm would still be whining if we could prove he got it right. For the simple reason that he did not do the side of the coin replacing both times.

Lexi on the other hand because she did it all in one motion we could see for certain the replacement was awful.

LOL Sorry sorry sorry.... typed to fast.... I corrected it.

Dont get me wrong Im glad the rule was change... the sad part was it took a 4 stroke swing and a Major to make a ridiculous stupid rule change when this was KNOWN for a long time..... I mean really....

Anyways.... Even with "Lexi's" penalty, she was wrong and should have been assessed the Penalty period.... I mean it was in one fair move.... If we want to be by the rules... If we want to be within the spirit of the game.... well meh.... no harm no fowl as I dont think something like that "Improved" her lie, so I guess I could live with it and no penalty either way, Rahm/Lexi.

Again my point is the inconsistency that may lie ahead and even the reluctance for the ruling members to make appropriate changes in a timely fashion. Again we knew about this BS call in crap for years.... we knew about "Video" evidence, slow down super zoom for years.... and one person got penalized bad while the other.... well nothing....
