My swing

Recommended Posts

Working now!!!
New videos, after hearing criticism, I realize my back foot comes up too fast, next step is to work on delaying that.
After doing this and standing taller, I found I gained about 7-8 yards with my lob wedge, and can work it a bit better.

Sorry about sun in the second, the sun was pretty bright.
Thanks!
Opinions are appreciated!

you take it too far inside and then come over the top, also, a little too hard for a lob wedge.

Dude, if you don't post proof I'm not gonna believe it at all, I just looked at my video. I take the club straight back, then up to in line with my target. I bring it down on the exact same plane.

When looking at the video, I saw the plane, i drew it in paint, and i noticed I was taking it in slightly inside, but that was a draw swing for sure. I'm much more upright when going for a soft cut, or fade.

It looks to me like you lunge at the ball on the downswing. Your head and upper body move from where they were the entire backswing forward towards the target.

And like it already has been said, you can improve your posture alot.

Do you think that is because I turn my right leg too soon, causing my head to rise, and me to have to lower my body to be even with the ball?

I think it's all due to your weight not being correct.

All your weight in on your heels so you have to lunge at the ball in order to hit it.

Fix your knee flex and get that shoulder roll out before you worry about anything else, if your not setup correctly it doesn't matter what else your doing.

Check out the new edited first post, with new swing with the advice from everyone.

I still see a lunge on the downswing. You are also pivoting your back right foot before impact, like you're a baseball player.

I am a ballplayer myself, and the hardest habit for me to break was to stop pivoting on my root foot like that.

The best advice I can give you through the internet and not working with you in person is to rotate your upperbody naturally. Don't start the backswing up by picking up the club with your arms. Rotate your core and let your arms rotate with it. You also don't need to get your lower body too involved on the backswing, for me when I do I lose consistency. So rotate your core on your backswing, and just rotate your core on your downswing.

Hard to describe, but that single thought keeps my swing in check when things go a little haywire.

Sounds good, I completely agree about the lower body part, I hear all this information about whipping the lower body, but for me it doesn't do crap. I was at the range and a typical good drive for me goes 260, yet when I tried to "whip" my lower body, the best I could carry was around 220.

I also asked Brian Pavlet, the long drive pro, about whipping your lower body, and he said it was bs. The analogy he used, was if someone asked you to throw a baseball 10 feet, then 50 feet, would you whip your lower body, or just move your arm faster? Makes sense to me.

I will work more on slowing that foot down, I noticed if I don't even move my feet, I hit the ball perfectly straight just around 20 yards shorter with my lob wedge, but the line was exactly on, I mean to the inch it was perfect. if I can get the timing right and get that normal distance, that'd be pretty sick.

That sound of hitting the ball was pretty loud and might sound fat, but that was a pured shot. Went around 90 yards and was about 1 yard right of where I was aiming, that big oak tree right in the middle.
