they look like PINGS.....not a huge fan of these. looks like Mizuno is switching things up a bit

just reported Phil has the Phrankenwood instead of driver in the bag this week....that and a low spin 3 iron that he wants to hit "head high".... any chance we see some WITB pics?? I also think he has a different putter.. looks like a black blade to me

So TaylorMade aren't releasing the 2017 Open Driver headcover to the masses - or so they tell me on Twitter. Quite frustrating given it's the only Major in the UK and the only headcover on their so called "Major Collection" that'd I'd want to buy.

 

Very disappointing Taylormade. Want these bad. Fits my red theme. UGH Come on. Majors collections without all Majors is ridiculous.

My favorite major at a great course. I don't know why, but I think that links courses are way more interesting than the "typical" PGA tour venue, anyone else agree?

 

Hopefully Rickie can finally win a major. Does anyone fancy Spieth's chances?

August 1st will be the "official" release date for the new Mizuno irons. I've shot Jhonny Vegas' blades at the Masters and then a full WITB at Valero (I think). I've shot the other two models but have them embargo'd until WGC Bridgestone.

 

I shot these in a player's bag yesterday but no clue who's bag it was.

It's interesting that Sergio's bag is Adidas branded instead of TM branded. It also doesn't have Saint George's Cross on it

Yes, most (all?) of the other TM bag I have seen have the St George's cross on them.

 

Word is Phil is using a Callaway X-Hot 3 Deep 13* fairway wood and a Callaway Epic (non-Pro) 3 iron.

He also had a 3-iron in the bag with standard loft as well as his normal 3-wood during his practice round with Jon Rahm, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas. "We came out here and spent Saturday and Sunday in the conditions and the winds that we’re going to see, and there really wasn’t a driver even potentially until we got to 15 for me, the way I felt I wanted to play the golf course and avoid the bunkers,” Mickelson said. "I’ve been really working on hitting that 3-iron head-high, and getting it down quick. It’s been something I’ve been working on the last couple weeks, and that shot’s not going to be affected by weather."
