Lots of Srixon irons in play.

 

Yeah, there today and lot's of srixon irons but man o man hardly a driver outside of taylormade. When Hughes popped out his ping driver I turned to my wife and said finally a non tm driver. Srixon headcovers (per standard practice) but still tm drivers under the hood.

I just checked the leaderboard and saw Johnny Ruiz, a student of George Gankas (@ggswingtips), is at -6 with 5 more holes to play. Not to jinx the kid, but he's a heck of a talent.

 

It's been a good couple of weeks for Gankas' students, with Ruiz winning a Mackenzie Tour event and Troy Mullins taking the WLD title in Denver (and smashing one 402 yards).

I hear you. I tried to justify my "sawdust" burger and dog by purchasing wife's ticket off scalper for 20 bucks cheaper but the prices all around have reached the end of the rope for me. But some considerations are free bus shuttles all day from 4 relatively close locations. That itself must be expensive. And paying out 6 mil. Plus for these guys has to be recouped somehow. I figure we're paying these guys outrageous money (read all sports here) so enough of the compliments from announcers for these guys sticking around to sign autographs. The great Al Kaline once said he'd of swept the stands after the game for the money these guys are making!!! And that was ten years ago! But back to point these prices are driving the blue collar guy from attending as many venues as he once did. Mr. Palmer got it I think, I hope the next generation is as appreciative.
