Kim definitely has zero technical answers like Tiger. Tiger at least was personable here.

Anthony Kim actually says alot of the same things Tiger does, he just doesnt say it in a "technical" way.

Ball back, ball forward, trap it, open his feet, grip down, etc.

Tiger says ball in back of stance, middle of stance,ball forward, two balls forward, low finish, high finish etc etc.

 

Kim does it all on feel, Tiger does the same but thinks about it more technically atleast in his answers. Really very little difference they just talk about it very differently. Once you become good enough most of the changes you do in the setup, you do instinctively, even if you talk about it in a "technical" way. 1 ball forward of center or just a little forward in my stance are very similar answers for example they just have a different approach to it.

Why did our society ever feel cargo shorts were an acceptable style?

 

Tiger looks ridiculous in that video. My biggest takeaway from that clinic will be double-checking with our committee tomorrow to make sure the language in my club's dress code sufficiently prohibits cargo shorts.

I think it stems from his obsession with the military and their tactical-style clothing. It looks awful.

 

Spieth's challenge won't be cargo shorts, since they are now out of style. For him, it will be avoiding the "athleisure" pitfalls of his generation. An example would be showing up to practice at his club in an untucked Under Armour performance polo that's paired with basketball/athletic shorts instead of golf pants or shorts. That being said, this is the guy who arrived home with the Claret Jug wearing a backwards camo hat. I think he also played shirtless and barefoot at Baker's Bay. So, maybe his style challenges will be greater than we thought.

that maybe the best video ive seen in ages.... Anthony Kim is just the man... and so honest... tiger tries to BS through it but Kim is telling it like it is... some guys are just born with it and figure it out as they go as Kim is saying....and some are robotic with instruction... and that works too.. Id pay to see a Kim Woods clinic way before a Jason day or other very robotic players that are out there...

those guys werent going to "learn" anything fromm those 2.... how could they ? they had no idea what Kim and Tiger were talking about.. and if they did couldnt have put it in play to save their lives... you dont pay for that clinic to improve yoru game... you do so for entertainment value...

Excerpt Kim says sometimes when he grips down the ball goes further. It's all feel for him. Tiger looks at him with a stare like "how can you play this way"?

Not a good lesson for older guys trying to improve their 15 handicap.

 

But an honest lesson for anyone trying to play collegiate or professional golf. Much of it is feel based, and all about developing an instinct for what to do. And those feels are developed by being gifted to start with and then playing lots of golf when you're really young.
