Creative to use weights to simulate the MOI benefits of the legs/wings without the visual effect. Some will think it is harder to align putts and some will like the clean look. As mentioned by someone else I do not love their inserts but a high MOI with toeflow is my desire so this, regular spider or SC 5.5 are all something I will evaluate over the winter

I did take physics but a long time ago and that is not my field. I would guess that the same amount of weight closer to the center would have less of an effect. But if the weights are heavier than the wings/legs a similar effect could probably be achieved.

Yes, weight closer to the center will slightly lower MOI.

 

Some smaller mallets don't really have high MOI, for example #7 or 2-ball. I've seen it stated that an Anser design actually has higher MOI than these designs.

I'm gonna say nope on that.

 

A more rearward weighting increases MOI, every time. Pushing weight to the perimeter does as well in a different axis.

So are you saying the sightline is painted on not cut into the top of the putter then paintfilled? Are you speaking with direct insight with this putter or are you just making a general statement? Yes paint is easy to remove, but if it's milled/cut into the head, it's still there.

Had a DJ model and loved everything about it but the lack of a sightline. [i put a 1/8 inch vinyl pin stripe on mine]

 

Sold it when i got a Toulon Indianapolis.

 

I had noticed a few players playing the Spider with a sightline.

 

I told a putter crazy friend that TM will come out with a similar DJ putter with a sightline in there new release.

 

Hopefully something comes to retail.
