Stitch SL1 stand bag

Recommended Posts

I own one, love it. Really clean and simple, lightweight, great carry bag, waterproof. I have no problem with 14 clubs in it. The biggest drawback in my eyes is the lack of space and pouches. Basically you've got the typical ball compartment on both sides, and if you need additional storage for a rain suit or something else, some things are going to have to come out. But at the same time it's been nice as I've eliminated a bunch of crap I really don't need to be carrying along with me.

Awesome looking bags. Being I walk half the time and cart the other half, do you ride with the bag at all?

I rode with mine for the first time a few weeks back. Other than limited storage it's not issue.

For walking it's great, mind you it has a single strap as opposed to the now normal double strap. I've walked 18 and had no issue with it. The one that that annoys me ever so slightly is how they advertise it as a super light 57 ounces in weight. Well that comes out to 3.5 pounds, still not much but not that much lighter than the typical bag, or lighter than some of the other light bags on the market. But what I've found is that lack of extra pockets helps keep from bogging you down with useless extras.

Thanks! I bought the Jones while waiting for the stitch to show up. Even though the Jones is a pound and a half heavier, it feels much lighter fully packed, because the strap is far superior to the SL1. A few rounds into the Jones it is so usable in a cart and carrying... the stitch maybe going back...or keep for wet weather maybe....also the SL1 EASILY handles 14 clubs.

I'm not certain that I like the patent leather trim on the SL1...( my Jones bag looks rejected :-)

The black is awesome. I have the white and I still can't decide which of the 4 colors looks best. They all look so damn good.

How is the wear on the white bag? Does it get dirty? Seems like it would be able to be cleaned easily due to the waterproof material.

I don't have one but have talked to Stitch about the bag and I think it is actually made out of PVC so it is easily washable. I am likely going to get one soon.

I know that this is a great bag for walking but how does it do on a cart (both push and electric)? A lot of guys I play with insist on taking one and some of the courses around here even require them on weekends. Would love to pick one up but curious how they stand up to being strapped in. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Just seeing some of these posts now, sorry. It gets dirty like anything white does, but it does clean pretty easily. Stains and marks don't really set in like other fabric materials.

Forgive me if im a little late. I'm really interested in getting this bag just curious how much stuff you can fit into the side pockets? ie; rain gear, etc....

Just took it to Bandon a week and a half ago. I wore what I had planned on needing and then put the items in the pockets as needed when the weather turned nicer. If you want a bag you can stuff full of items it's not for you. But if you have an easily packable rain suit or top it will fit, although it may be a little crammed.

Its only the side pockets, right. There is no long pocket...so have to be a good folder.:)
