Hogan"s weight at impact...really 90% on front foot?

How can this be when his spine is angled back away from the target, putting his head more inline with the back foot than front?

There is no way to know how much weight he had on his front foot, but let's assume there is, it's because weight and mass are not the same.

Exactly David C. A lot of it is the momentum he creates towards the left side. Not just from right to left but in 3 dimensions from deep in his right heel around eventually to the left heel but along the way giving the ball a bit of a roundhouse blow. Most better players will start down from higher and so have trouble "fitting" the club from the inside and so there's a bit of stall and back out of it if they have any kind of aggressive start down. Hogan had pure transfer without any chance for the hands, shaft or head to catch up enough so as to be destructive. Watch in slow frame by frame how quickly the head and right shoulder go from behind the ball to way over on his left side.
