I really like that color. I've had mizuno bags for the last 10 years and just last week got in a 4.5 sun mountain and as far as function goes, the 4.5 is a lot nicer to me but that new mizuno looks awesome.

bag looks to be a nice improvement from last year, I still miss the 6 and 7 way dividers - couple questions:

are the vertical dividers full length or do they only divide at the top?

are the horizontal dividers sealed down the sides completely? have had too many issues with the grip end of clubs slipping down the side b/c the horizontal dividers are not sealed all the way.

The foot mechanism does appear similar, you are correct. I looked and it and thought different pockets, different legs, different handle on the spine, different towel loop, etc

I couldn't wait for the 2018 cart bags to come out, so I picked up a 2017 Pro Cart bag in Blue/White. It replaces the 2016 version. I can't say that I'm completely pleased with the design. They made some improvements, but also took a step backwards in some areas.

 

The front three pockets are much smaller than the old model. The top pocket looks big from the outside, but because it is wedge shaped, it actually has little room inside. The middle pocket is supposed to be the "cooler" pocket, but I can't see getting one, never mind two, cans inside of it. The third pocket is not only smaller, but the design of the zipper makes it a chore to get closed.

 

The upper front pocket used to be the felt-lined, "waterproof" valuables pocket. They moved that to the upper right side. However, it's a tight fit getting a smartphone in the pocket. It's also very small.

 

The side pockets are an improvement, though. There are two big compartments on each side. The previous model had one large pocket, and one uselessly small pocket on each side. It will be nice to have the extra divider.

 

The top is pretty much the same. No individual dividers again. 'Probably to save weight. It would be nice to have individual dividers, as my grips are always tangling.

 

I do like that they moved the umbrella holder to the back of the bag, similar to the 2015 model.

I've owned many bags in the passed, this is by far the best overall imo. Sturdy material, suuuuper light, feels high quality, and I love that the straps are adjustable ABOVE the shoulder pads in addition to the usual under the shoulder pads. I'm at shorter than average height and the adjusting the straps to make the bag sit higher than normal is a hugely underrated feature, imo. Im talking about the BR-D3 model.

I saw the 14-way stand bag in store today and it is absolutely stunning. I just got a new set of P790 irons but Mizuno will be my next stop for sure. Everything in their current line up from bag to irons to woods is amazing.

Thanks and loving looking at it while the winter wins out side here in North East Ohio. It has a lined zip pocket on the left side (when looking at the back of the bag, that I have been using for my water bottle during lessons and indoor range sessions. Not sure if thats what its for but it works ok. Definitely not as thought out on the water bottle pocket as compared to my SM four-5 carry bag.

@evoviiiyou - That Mizuno Pro 4-Way Stand Bag looks amazing. I am still trying to decide between this one in black or Callaway Hyper Lite 3. The deciding factor would be whether Mizuno has full lenght dividers or not? Does yours? Different shops give different information, so I'm in a pickle here.

To add to my previous post - I eventually I went with Callaway. Mizuno has indeed a divider at the top, not full length ones. Great bag regardless - I love the materials on it.

Any word on new Mizuno golf bags for 2017? I'm hoping they finally do it right and make a bag with individual full length dividers. I've been looking for a catalog for 2017 but haven't seen one. Fingers crossed for a good design!

Would you recommend this bag over the BRD-3?
