Bit the bullet with the huge swoosh on my lc4's. Moving forward though I'm sticking to good ol 360 tour boosts or an FJ. The TW models from 05-09 were so sweet, they've lost their way

I know WRX forum members are a small/unique group, but I refuse to believe that any quality "market research" was used to move in this direction. My emotionally fueled guess is that some executive's 13 year old son thinks they're cool. Or someone thinks they are Jobs/Ford and believes you don't ask your customers what they want.

FWIW, I love them...going to be uber comfy, look on trend with the ghost night camo, and the pink is a nice accent touch. Im 42 and find that the latest Nike trends in shoes especially any of the FREE / LC offerings of the last few years are really good evolutions of the dress work dress shoe with spikes...just not needed for a sport where you spend 6 hours at warming up walking and playing on outdoor terrain. I do not desire more conservative than the white on white LCV 2's Brooks had on last week or the recent TW71 whites or blacks...keep it up team NG/NSB/NT

Nike ingeneral has brought back many of the winners from the "Hey day" in most of there sneaker offerings from retro Jordans to AF1s to Airmax 1's with normal everyday athletic shoes.

 

With that, your point is really valid and Nike Golf needs to parallel the evolution of tech and current fashion trends materials along side releases for the classic retros with some modern material improvements like they did with Zoom Attack (TW11 re-creation) and the TW71 (TW SP8 inspired) or the LC1 (Lunar Fire)...point is if they are going to go classic then go all the way Lunar Claytons (with spikes), TWSP8's, etc... This will keep a big part of the market that went Nike Golf in the first place. Thats my .01 cents

That shoe isn't great, but it is hard to get too up in arms and denounce a brand just for one colorway of an unreleased shoe. I'd be willing to bet there will be a wide variety of new shoes in the 2018 cycle.

 

Some of the new shoes coming down the pipe: Air Zoom Direct, Air Zoom Precision, and Air Zoom Accurate seem to be more classic than the camo LCV2. There are new colors of the Lunar Command 2 coming - as well as a Roshe Golf shoe.

that big swoosh on the toe is awful. Whoever designed that should be fired. Why do their shoes always have to be so gawdy and clunky looking? Superior comfort and classic looking is all people want. Simple is better.

I'm not a huge fan of spikeless, casual, or Jordan-type golf shoes (even though I played tons of basketball growing up).

 

I'm just glad Nike is also releasing spiked sport golf shoes in the same vein as the Lunar Control series (see here (about 3/4 down the page)).

 

At least I hope they are!

Those koepka pics you snapped were cool to see. Tony Finau got a delivery of these this week too, so they might actually be wearing them this week. Kind of odd that they would debut them with this colorway though.

Those are the Lunar Fires (already out). Jhonny Vegas wears them every week.
