TaylorMade Milled Grind Wedges

TT2017

Recommended Posts

I wish they would bring back the XFT wedge again, especially the replaceable inserts. They would make long term $$$ from the insert sales alone.

Love those wedges. Have both the 58/09 and the 58/12 wedges. S400 shafts in both. Also have 12 total replacement faces. Will be using these wedges for the rest of my golfing life haha.

Same for me with 52, 56, and 58*. Maybe its the kbs wedge shaft, but they work well.

Well the antique bronze is now starting to pop up in online stores. The stock images are making them appear a rust color which is what I want. Would love to see the actual club before I buy.

Here's a pic from the TM insta. Better than a stock online pic. I too, would need to see in person. I wanna get a 60*.

They had these for us to try on the recent Kingdom trip. They look great in person, no glare problems at all with these. They had a grayish look to them in person, at least that's what I thought. This will probably as close to a raw finish we may get, they were pretty adamant that they would not be coming to retail ever.

So, you're saying they don't like to make money by not releasing the raw version?

Lol...That was their feeling on Aug 29-31 2017. Would it surprise me if they announce in the coming months that it's coming to retail, not at all.

Anyone know which grind is closest to the ATV grind on the TP wedge? I LOVE that grind but I need a new wedge. Also, how do these feel compared to the TP wedge? Not the EF, the 2014 TP. I have an EF 50 and I really don't like feel as much as the TP line.

By itself, the bronze doesn't look as dark, but against the chrome the difference is extremely noticeable. Thanks for the pics Lesmond.

I just picked up the bronze and chrome from the wedge bin area. I didn't even hit them till after I took the pics.

But thanks for the insight.

I think taylormade is having some issues with this head. I tried to order a sb 60.10 and it is not even in their configurator., so I changed to hb 60.11 and bent strong 1*. I ordered along with a sb 54.11. my order was supposed to ship yesterday, but has not.

I am hearing there are still some quality issues with the heads. but really have no idea. sorta disappointing.

TM's website only lets you customize the chrome and not the antique bronze...

I'm having an awful hard time getting my hands on these! First I kept getting delayed from TGW, so I ordered though TM directly and placed an order on their site. Custom spec's, but nothing major. Just +3/4" & different grips.

That was 5 days ago and I hadn't got an email yet, so I called today. "No record of your order" and I'll need to re-order around end of week/early next week when the custom spec's option comes back live on the site.....

I will get one eventually! Not sure when, though.

Guy's I went to order the bronze wedges today and was put off by the owner of the shop, he says the finish falls off them? I replied that I thought that was the beauty of them that they get the tarnished look.

Anyone any thoughts on this please?? Thanks

Well i'll be able to answer for you soon....

I got an order update email today and it said my wedges shipped! After being told my order didn't go through, now apparently they are on their way...

Just picked up 56/60 in the bronze finish. I play my wedges at 2* flat, had the shop flatten them and found that the area of the hosel where they clamp had some of the bronze finish rubbed off. It's not a hack job either as they flatten by black vokeys all the time without any issues. It doesn't matter to me, but just FYI, it's a very delicate finish.

I play with them tomorrow. Will report back if there's anything of note.

Since these just got launched and I have had mine since 3/30,

I thought I would show you how they wear after 20 rounds and practice about once a week.

These wedges replaced the EF series I had in the bag. Like the feel and look ( darker finish ) much better than the EF. Wear is pretty much the same as any black finish wedge, you know it will start to come off with use.
