uh oh

This is not the email we were expecting to send out today and we apologize profusely.

Your final payment email was scheduled to be sent at 5pm this evening. Unfortunately, we have had to pause this following a development at our manufacturing facility this afternoon.

We have manufactured all V2 bands and the digitally printed screens were delivered to our manufacturing partners at 1pm BST today. This is the last process on the manufacturing line before the product is shipped. Unfortunately, on receipt of these screens it became apparent that these were not of the quality required and therefore none of the screens are fit for use. We have enclosed an image of manufactured bands and an example of the screen quality which we received this afternoon. The team are now working to rectify the screen issue so that the bands can be completed and shipped.

All,

The team were incredibly disappointed when we found out about the issue yesterday (there was no fore warning) and we can only apologize to all of our customers. If you haven't seen the images, they are on the Shot Scope Facebook page.

Turtlesvs, we have to get new screens and have them printed correctly. We had to put out a date yesterday, having spoken to our manufacturing partners today we hope to pull this date forward if we can. As ever we will make sure to keep everyone informed.

We have completed our testing of V2, the upgraded apps were all ready on time and this was the last manufacturing process. It was very unfortunate but the response from our pre-orderers has been tremendous and they will be rewarded with what is a fantastic product. On the software side the delay will allow the team to focus on some additional features and hopefully have them released on/around when V2 is shipped.

Pushed back to 11/10 shipping on pre-orders...ugh!

Unfortunately, I reside in Indiana, which means October has become our 'Seattle Season' & November is a little chilly...think wind chill created when riding a cart.

That being said, I appreciate the men/women at ShotScope not rushing out a sub-standard product just to satisfy the deposits made & extending the warranty periods for those of us that have to wait until 2018 to don their equipment.

I'll complete my purchase willingly, receive my ShotScope V2, wrap it myself, place it under my ceramic Christmas 'tree', and look forward to a season of improvement in 2018

I didnt actually ship. There's another email that says you have log onto shotscope and complete your order and it will ship Nov. 10th. And you need to do that before the shipping date or its going to be delayed.

Correct. I missed the other email. I pre-ordered Sept 21. Now shipping Nov 10.

Did you get through the process? The email they sent was not very clear on how to do it.

You have to go back to the shotscope site and do a order like you are paying full price BUT NOT doing a pre-order. Then you add that code they sent you to get the discount taken off. I had to email them for clarification before I finally got it to work.

Yes, you needed promo code and to checkout using the same e-mail address that you used for deposit. It all worked but it was a strange way to handle it.

Ordered mine in the UK...

I also messaged support to see if it would be possible to download all shots in an Excel format which I think would be very helpful from an analysis point of view, especially for a data nerd like me. I'd like to compare the output of my Strokes Gained spreadsheet with Shot Scope's strokes gained methodology, if and when it becomes available.

Unfortunately they are not supporting this and I guess the reason is because it would be easy to reverse engineer their calculations which are presumably considered Intellectual Property. Maybe they license it from someone else? Or maybe they just don't want anyone else stealing it...

In any case it's quite frustrating as it will disallow the very deep insights as their web interface, even if exceptional, will be limited.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to decipher the whole pre-order vs order system, so now I have a little $ tied-up

To their credit, Customer Service was able to put 2 & 2 together (after a frantic e-mail from me) and are EXTREMELY responsive...as they have ALWAYS been. I still say this will be a nice present to myself, from myself, even though I'm unwilling to play for the next 4-5 months (I really need to find a job a few states south).

All in all, I still feel this is the best technology available & offers the best bang-for-the-buck...enough so that I sold my SkyCaddie.

And responsive Customer Service is invaluable in my book.
