That's got to be the first I've heard a preference for the 5003. How many/which sets did you have in between, Rob?

Visually, the BB has a squarer toe, slightly thicker top line, less offset, and, yes, is smaller. As for feel, the 5003 is less dense (thinner muscle), which some might interpret as softer. Ball speeds off of the BB are generally reported as faster and my experience is consistent with this. BB have longer and thicker hosels, drawing the CG a touch heel side

I don't see much of a reason to go 5003 over MB001 unless you like busier stampings.

How many sets did I have in-between? I had them at the same time. I don't think there's more offset in the MB5003s. Those things have basically no offset as is. Both are great, I just preferred the feel of the MBs.

Baby Blades are the one. More power behind the hit for sure. And not difficult to hit.

I have the 5003s and think they're the best I've hit. Just wondering if I want to or need the Baby Blades....is there much difference?

Oh, you know you need those baby blades. LOL

They may be out of stock, but 2nd Swing was selling brand new baby blades on the cheap! I think they were $699 or $799. Listed as mint, but they were brand new. There was a thread in the DoND forum here on them. They had several Miura models available.

Apparently 2nd swing sells Miura way cheaper than anyone else.

I'm tempted to grab a set of PP 9903 and save them for when I get older and need more help with my Irons :)

Yup .... What Miura and/or SecondSwing did to clear out Miura inventory has really soured my opinion of the brand.

"Let's throw some steel shafts in these, mark them as mint or demo, and sell them at 50% off brand new."

I get it, it opened up the Brand to probably 5x as many consumers. But as a guy that invested in New, and Built-To-Order Miura by a Dealer, I'm still a bit sour.

NOW .... When Cadillac starts offering the same pricing strategy, I'll get over my Miura grapes.

I sure would be pissed if I was a Miura dealer that had inventory because I doubt there is that much margin to compete with 2nd swing.

That is another conversation, for another day. Unfortunately.

... I've got 3 sets of irons, 7 wedges, 3 putters and 2 bags ... All wearing the Miura name. I won't sell it. I have too much respect for Mr. Miura and his talents. BUT, I will not, give in to anything else Miura.

I may be taking this a bit far, but watching Baby Blades get their price slashed by 50% really took the 'bug' out of me to enjoy equipment. I'm genuinely pissed off. It WAS a 'Club', the cost of membership? A set of sticks. It was a privilege to be a part of. Now, feels taken for granted.

A different perspective ... Scotty Cameron decides he's no longer making Tour Putters and thus discontinues production. He decides the remaining inventory will be split up between Titleist.com and Dick's Sporting Goods to be sold. They'll be sold at the same price as off-the-rack Cameron putters. Allllllllllll those guys who bought Circle T putters at full retail would be jumping from bridges.

I'm ranting. I'm done. Sorry.

I actually don't mind the 2nd Swing deal. From my POV, a good chunk of the value in Miura clubs (at full price) is in the fitting and building. If you look at 2nd Swing as a head-only transaction, to me, it's no different than buying on eBay or BST.

It shows to the market that the products can be sold at 50% off and the retailer selling the product isn't selling at zero margin so Miura has a very low cost of manufacturing the product or they are moving in a different direction and liquidating product.

Either way it's good for someone looking to get a steal on high end JPN Irons and it sucks for someone that has always been loyal and paid the premium price to get premium products and understood why. TM will be selling the 2017 M1 & M2 drivers at 50 % off at Dicks when the M3 - M4 or whatever the next model is but we are used to that cycle. Miura at 50% off is something much different.
