Greg Norman, Nick Price & Tom Weiskopf Vintage Iron Specs/Build Sheets

Every once in a while you find an interesting post on Twitter. Global Golf retweeted a post from Adam Schupak where he posted the actual iron builds for Tom Weiskopf, Nick Price and Greg Norman. Definitely not off the rack sets for these three.

Pretty cool info. Golden Bear = Tom Weiskopf or as sheet says Tom Weiskope. I'm fascinated by the bounce on Tom's irons #1-9 ZERO bounce. Also NO gripping send underlisting and grips with clubs. Also unbelievable Tom's shafts are only S-400's , he was a big man with some major power. Also 2-1 irons and 2- PW's . Thanks for sharing this post.

Tom Weiskopf and Greg Norman are regarded are outstanding ball strikers, so I could see them hitting 1 irons. I think of Nick Price as more of an all round great player with no significant weaknesses.

Nick Price in his prime was an excellent ball striker with super fast tempo. I believe that was the best part of his game was his ball striking and hitting fairways.

He was excellent in the year or 2 at,near N0.1 in the world. Pretty sure at that time he had X100 shafts on his Rams.

When drivers were 43" and steel shafted, no issue, had an X100 in a Titleist 975D for awhile...tried to bring the flight down...!

Well, I swung an X100 back around that era in a TM metal and the thing was impossible for me to hit even though I could handle s300 then.

I play X100 Lite untipped in my original Callaway Steelhead 7w and 9w and they play similar to a Stiff flex in my driver (Tensei Pro White). They are untipped and the Lite version was softer than the comparable X100.

I've heard of Pro's going with 1/2" or 1" in tipping but have never heard of 2".
