Paige Spiranac - thoughts?

These days you can identify as anything you want, she identifies herself as a pro golfer. I don't give a krap how well she hits the ball, I only care that she is hot and I'd watch her shoot a 100 and love it! :superman:

I have to ask - why? I mean there are countless websites where you can watch hotter girls do things with equally hotter girls with no clothes on. I don't understand why anyone follows a stranger on Instagram for the purpose of viewing pics of hot girls. They wear clothes, nudity is not allowed. What exactly are you hoping for on instagram?

Brah, believe me, I know all too well about other websites. I don't Instagram or ever been on it, nor did I know who the F Paige was prior to this thread. If you don't like looking at hot women that golf, that's your problem, I do. Thanks for playin'

I think his issue isn't hot women playing golf. But the lack of hot women playing golf in this thread. Make more sense now ?

Hot women playing golf is great. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to install Instagram to look at one. If I’m on my phone looking for hot women any social media is going to be discarded.

I agree... time spend on social media accounts such as a forum like golfwrx is much better.

Read the whole thread. Entertaining. One of the most interesting aspects was one poster touting the Danica Patrick goDaddy adds as a failure. But I think myself and the majority of other posters know exactly what ad campaign he's referring to years later.

An ad campaign can be memorable but if it doesn't compel you to buy the product then it's a failure. If GoDaddy's sales went up because of the ad then it was a success. Can't know unless we see the data.

... Spoken like someone who does not understand marketing or someone just trying to be a contrarian. This is marketing 101:

If people remember that ad years later, and they are in the market for domain names, it is very likely that a large percentage of them go to godaddy.com at some point to see what they offer.

Not every person who sees an ad is going to buy immediately. However, that ad builds familiarity which has been psychologically linked to higher likelihood of purchase due to brand recognition.

lol. I spent my career in marketing and pr. Like I said, nobody knows anything until you see the data.

I've also spent the last 30 seconds wondering why, in an otherwise civil conversation, someone would resort to a personal attack. Can you explain?

Or it builds dislike and hatred. The marketing myth that all publicity is good is just that, a myth perpetuated by guess who.

My tone was not intended to be as harsh as you may have taken it, and was less directed at you and more directed to the people who have displayed their ignorance in marketing earlier in this thread. The amount of charlatans on this site purporting that they are "professionals" whilst not understanding the fundamentals of their "craft" is reaching an all time high on this website.

Mark Jay, an ad hominem was not my goal, even if my word choice was poor. I meant you no malice.

Here are the financials for GoDaddy since they partnered with Stewart-Haas racing in 2012. They have seen an aggressive increase in revenue since then. Now, we cannot solely place the Danica Patrick campaign as the only reason for this, but it was part of the marketing deck that was at the core of a 2x increase in rev when comparing 2016 to 2012. Keep in mind they exist in an increasingly competitive space.

  • 1 month later...

At the end of the day she is a damn good ball striker who just needs to learn how to win. The main difference is she has found a way to support herself while she grinds and gets it figured out. Yes she is hot, and it is giving her an advantage that many other grinders don't have. I don't think this is any excuse to post mean spirited comments directly to her accounts or on other sites. If you are a female golfer with a lower handicap and she took your spot in a tournament sure, fire away. Otherwise let's see how her career plays out.

I think learning to win is about 35 steps ahead of where she is now if her end goal is the LPGA Tour. Learning to break 77 on a regular basis is next. I don’t think her end goal is the LPGA Tour though - being a tv personality, actress, model or plaintiff in a large civil trial are her likely career aspirations.

It appears the 15 minutes are over and PXG no longer has her on their payroll, period!

Love the replies so far... So I guess my question then becomes (and I'm truly not trying to be misogynist here): how can women or LPGA players complain about the difference in prize money? Same with the US Open Tennis.

If the men's circuit gets watched because it's the pinnacle of the sport and no one cares about the women's circuit unless a hot chick turns up (Kournikova / Paige) why should they get paid the same?

Then explain merit based men's exemptions... Romo, Daly, Mulder, Lincicome...

An explanation... It's not all merit.

Each tournament has a sponsor who makes the event possible. Without them, the event likely would not exist. The sponsors are given eight exemptions (at least 2 have to be PGA TOUR members and at least 2 must be top finishers from last year’s Web.com Tour) as a tool to help make their event more successful.

Anyways, she's sexy and she plays professional golf, that's an unusual combination, and I kind of like that combination.

If we could have average looking idiots like Kardashians make hundreds of millions a year for having no skill - whats wrong with a better looking woman who plays the game make some coin? Come on now - Golf should be glad they have a few sexy women endorsing it. I hope she is around for a long time!!!

If the range was full of women like her, it will make up for my bad swings
