I was bout to start a thread as I just received some today. Was somewhat hoping they were the AVX but based on the pics above are definitely NXT/Velocity type balls.

I have two rounds in with the sleeve of yellow test balls I received. I thought they would be next generation Velocity or NXTs, now I'm not sure. What I do know is that this is a great ball. Soft, not as soft as the Callaway Supersoft but close. Among the Titleist balls they might be the softest I have played. Long. I played the last two days in winds gusting to 30 mph and they held their line really well. The trajectory was higher than a Pro V1 but very controllable. Off the wedges and putter they felt very responsive, soft but not mushy. They didn't spin like a Pro V1, but the rollout was predictable.

I'm not sure what these will be, but I would make them my gamer right now.

I received a sleeve yesterday in the mail and my first thought looking at them was a NXT type ball. I plan to head out tomorrow for a little chipping and putting. I will take a sleeve of NXT Tour as a comparison. I will let you know how it turns out.

I agree with this. I played 18 with it today. These launch high and they do really well holding lines in the wind. They dont offer much in green side spin but they hit, land, and stay put, not much else. They were longer than what I expected them to be, I felt it difficult to shape shots, the ball almost seemed like it was fighting side spin, just wants to go straight and high.

Feel is pretty good, dont think this is a urethane cover. Very similar to the Q-Star Tour IMO, but without a lot of the greenside control a urethane covered ball would offer. Felt good off the putter face.

I got a sleeve as well. Distance is right up there with my Srixon XV. Spins back about 3 inches with full SW from 90 yards. From 55 yards it stops about 3 to 4 inches from divot. Flight is higher than XV. Feel is middle. Not too soft, not hard. Given that 2018 is the year for new nxt I would say these are probably a proto nxt ball. Just my observations.

Driver: TM M1
3 Wood: TM M1
Irons: Cobra King 3-PW, Tour Trusty GW, PM Grind LW (Also have a set of Srixon 545's 3-PW)
Ball: Srixon Z star, CS, Q Star, Project A
Putter: Metal X #7
Bag: Sun Mountain C130 Stand

I got a sleeve earlier this week and played with one yesterday. A few thoughts:

1) the ball is very resilient... no marks on the ball through 12 holes (before I lost it in the trees) and I hit a few thinned wedges that I figured should have at least left a little something on the ball, but they didn't.

2) plenty of spin on full shots... granted the greens I was playing were a little bit soft, but I backed up a few mid irons.

3) might be too much driver spin... was playing with a buddy that I usually outdrive by a good bit. We were both playing the test balls and our drives were within a few yards of each other. I suspect with my slightly higher swing speed or angle of attack I might be getting too much spin on my drives.

4) feels very soft... only had two balls to compare it to and the Titleist test ball feels softer than the Q star tour and Z star.

5) good spin on chips, but nothing spectacular... again the greens being soft could have played a roll, but the ball seems to have enough spin that it isn't out of control around the greens.

6) not sure how it is in the wind... I was having some real issues with distance control with the ball. Not sure if it was me, the wind, or the ball, but I had a few shots come up short or long that didn't seem to make sense with the wind I was feeling.

Based on my limited experience, I'd say it is a good ball that is similar in performance to the Q Star Tour. So, if Titleist prices it around $29.99, I think it'll be competitive. But, if it is a $39.99, ball I'm not sure why someone would pick that over saving money on something like the Q Star Tour or just moving over to the Z Star or XV for more performance at the same price.

Played 18 with them yesterday. Although two-piece with suryln cover I was very surprised with full swing iron shot spin into greens. Had a few wedges even back up a bit, on greens that really weren't that soft considering the time of year. I really had to back off club selection out of flyer lies in first cut, as they seem to significantly drop the spin there.

Driver distance was good, about he same as my B330RXS. Driver and iron shots flew very high, and held the line well.

Chipping was the real issue. They just wouldn't bite at all. I side by sided them with the Bridgestone, and it wasn't remotely close. Just rolled out like crazy. I know it's an unfair comparison, but I've seen other two piece balls perform much better in that situation.

Putter feel was soft but solid.
