Best hybrid I've had in my bag I have an 18 degree with RIP proto stiff... Thinking about buying another one to replace my 3 iron.

Received my 18* and 23* with altus S shafts in january. I have never gamed another hybrid so I have no basis for comparison, but I will say that these are a pleasure to hit. I am a 16 hdcp and usuall play a slight to moderate (depending on the day) fade, but have total control over ball flight with this club. I am not one to fool myself into thinking that I have any "workability" at this point with most clubs, but I can draw or fade this baby at will. Feels smooth, contact feels great, and the new decade grips rock. I absolutely love this setup.

No kidding, I got a 23 degree few weeks ago to replace my 4 iron and I love it. It has an Accra HX 85 in it and that club is money. I just ordered another Accra shaft and a 19 degree VST head.

I have been gaming these for over 2 years with the Matrix Altus in 18* and 23*. I absolutely love them. I have a hole in one with the 23* and have made numerous eagles on Par 5's because of the ease of hitting it high and long. I play to about a 3 and am working towards my PGA card and these hybrids are like cheating. I still carry a 4 iron for lower shots but I hit the 23* longer than my 4 iron anyway. I play it more like a 3 iron.

I know I'm replying to an old thread, but love these hybrids, have 3 of them (16/20/23) was always looking for the 26 in a stiff shaft... Any thoughts on what would be a similar (new model) of those clubs for when I decide to upgrade?

Still the only hybrid I've really liked. Had 3 & 4 Nickents that I liked. Wanted a 5 (26*) to use with them now and then. A12 Pro was actually longer than the Nickent 4. I could carry it with my 5 iron for a perfect gap.

High-ish trajectory with the Aldila Rip'd, but never baloon-y. Beautiful ball flight. Can control trajectory.

Sets up a bit open. Can draw or fade this thing. Doesn't just go left like other hybrids I've used. Only drawback is it's a bit difficult to tell where I've hit on the face. Always feels the same and sounds the same. Always seems to go long too. Very forgiving for a smaller head.

 

Edit: Forgot to include this...I like a heavier club so I put the 14 gram weight in it. Nice.

From what I have found the Callaway Apex hybrid is the closest new hybrid to these.
