Any reviews of this vs Orange V2?

for me the synergy is much more stable, and lower spinning. Same low/low-mid launch; but i felt that the v2 got a bit loose on me while this is much more dependable and consistent.

Anything on this vs the HZRDUS Black?

The link will allow you to compare Kuro Kàge Dual Core XT or Black Mamba to hzrdus black, which should allow a nice comparison to Synergy Proto.

http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/1488288-big-bad-low-spin-shaft-review-13-shafts-7-players-and-a-trackman/page__pid__16405828__st__450#entry16405828

Quick comparison is that hzrdus black launches about .5-1 degree lower than kkdcxt and spins about 200-300 rpm more.

So this new Synergy spins and launches lower than the Orange V2 and the DCXT? Impressive.

Any chance you can review the 2017 Diamana X? That's their flagship shaft I believe.

Keep up the great work!

There were two prototype versions of the X that were submitted for testing. One spun and hit higher, the other was a bit flatter. I'd say the closest thing I can compare the Diamana X to would be a Tensei Pro Orange V2 on one and probably more like a Tensei Pro Blue for the other. I'm unsure which became the retail model.

For me in the same head the synergy is higher with less spin than my V2!

Glad to hear that. It's not a low launching shaft at all for me, but it is massively low spin.

So far I'm impressed, now I need to compare to my green mamba 60tx!

i'll be hitting the sim tonight and playing tomorrow. hopefully the lifting i've been doing the last 2 weeks isn't going to keep me jammed up.

loving this thing so far -- unfortunately it's been too dang cold the last week to get to a range or play. sigh. winter is coming...

update --

this is firmly in the bag. for me, it was the slight uptick in launch angle that's giving me much more consistent results. i hit all but 2 fairways yesterday (despite being sore AF) - and despite the cold conditions, got all close to 300y (it was sub 50*F), and 2 over 3 bills.

the ball has a piercing trajectory to the apex, goes for days, then hits and runs like a pissed off squirrel.

on the sim i was getting:

AVG SS: 117.3

Smash: 1.47

Launch: 12.2

Spin: 2218

Ball Speed: 169.7

Carry: 287.4

Peak Height: 103'

predominant shot shape: dead nuts straight.

total is irrelevant IMO since it's just a sim.

That's a very nice launch window and that sucker at 2200 should hit the ground HOT.

Yes this posting is exactly the same as the other topic lol but I just want to make sure all eyes have a chance to chime in!

For those of you that have been playing the shaft....

I'm trying to determine the best tipping length and want to hear some opinions before I move forward. I currently play a KK DC XT 70tx. Tipped 1/2". Getting very solid numbers. Low spin drives are very low and normal drives are hovering around 2100 2200.

I ordered the Synergy proto 65tx because I wanted to try the slightly lighter weight based on the higher swing and ball speeds from the testing. Should I tip this 1/2" as well? Would it make sense to tip it 3/4" or 1" to get the spin down slightly and hopefully keep launch similar or slightly higher?

Thanks for your thoughts!

mine is currently untipped - 65TX, playing 45.25". haven't had issues with too much spin and control has been exceptional for me.

I'm having a difficult time reconciling come of the numbers for this shaft given that my SS is 106-110. By all accounts, taking the Black Mamba numbers as a starting point, could one say that the Synergy "should" produce slightly better results?

Driver: Cobra LTDxLS @ 9º (8.25º) w/ Fujikura Speeder TR 661s

Fairway: Callaway Mavrik 4W @ 16º w/ ProjectX Evenflow Black 70s

Hybrid: Sub70 939x 4H @ 21º w/ ProjectX Black Hybrid 6.0

Irons: Artisan HC 4/5 w/ Steelfiber i95cw Stiff; 6-PW w/ Steelfiber i110cw Stiff

Wedges: Artisan Raw 51º, 56º, 61º w/ Modus 120s (to  be re-shafted with Steelfibers to match irons)

Putter: Artisan 0318 Deep Milled

Synergy will spin less. Assuming you need that, then yes.
