Sorry, it was a hard draw around a lake to a back left pin. Actually had a 6 footer left.

But I have been getting better from there...

You weren't inside that magic 5 foot circle for eagle? Dude, you suck.

A bag of left-handed junk.

One package arrived but it doesn't do me much good without the computer or golf mat to go along with it. Wait, wait, wait. The worst part is that it is very likely on the same truck they were just stuffed and couldn't find the other stuff in the clutter. They will swing back around later.... ugh.

It's useless to you this way... let me send you my address so that you can get it out of your house.

The craziest part is I don't even have space to put it in my house. I do have permission to use it in the warehouse of the company I work for though. Thought I was going to have 4 days to use it this holiday weekend but that is now not going to happen (I realized about an hour ago that the Wednesday the last component is going to be delivered is next Wednesday... the horror!).

Working on building an enclosure that can be setup and broken down in a relative short amount of time and be transported in my car (SUV). It's not going to be easy but I think it can be done.

Michigan is a bit far to travel... so should I just send it by regular USPS mail and in an unprotected package?

When you're about to putt a 5-footer for par on # 1 and one of the guys you're matched with tells you about his recently discovered epididymal cyst, and that "in most cases" it is nothing to worry about.

Wow.

Just wow.....

why oh why did I have to google that???

We all didn't roll out of the golf womb shooting 80 and then got better from there.

Ummmm this is GolfWRX. Speak for yourself buddy!

I beg to differ; I leaped out (my superhero cape billowing behind me) and as soon as my FJ Classics hit the ground I was off to the first tee where I Eagled the 650 yard par 5 opening hole.

Come on this is WRX. Surely you meant to say a soft, feather cut of a 5i to a tucked pin one-hopped in the cup for Double Eagle right?

Bush League. I always hit hard draws to front right pins. Gives the crowd something to oooh and awwww about.

I know I'm in for a long day when I go play golf on the weekends.

Seriously.... people need to learn how to pick up after 8 or 10 swings and move on to the next hole. My home course is a difficult public course. I see beginners show up and decide that they are going to get their money's worth that day. They will take every shot....even it it means 150 swings.

When you have just teed off on the first tee, and you decide it's time to put on the rain gear, and it's too late because your clothes are already wet.

Hey chopper, what are you hitting there?

You know you're in for an even longer day when on the third hole Ferguson says, can you check my epididymal cyst to see if it's red or swollen? ??

More stableford. If the US golfer could change mindsets from medal play to stableford, the pace of play would increase dramatically. People want to finish the game they are playing, and they want to play by the rules generally. If people played stableford, and they can't get a bogey, they can pick up or just go and chip/putt with their buddy and move things along.

Totally a culture thing that needs to change. Even if it's just a case of "don't keep score" and people take their tee shots, take one or 2 more, then pick up and putt out on the green

When you get a nice weather day for mid-December but no matter what you do the emails, phone calls and problems just won't stop. Every time you put a fire out another starts. All you can do is sit and watch the minutes tick by as the opportunity to make your tee time slowly, painfully, dreadfully slips away..... I have 23 very long minutes to get my problems resolved.

When the three randoms you are playing with all decide to play from the blues because you are. I didn't jugde until after the first few holes and they were without a fairway hit.

Even though I consistently drive the ball 270+ (direction isn't important right?)... if I play as a single and get paired with some folks playing the white tees, I just join them at the forward tees. It's more fun when you actually join the group you're playing with. Also it never gets old hearing a guy 20 years your senior go, "Oh to be young again" every time you crush one. :-D

As a golf course pro, I can attest, the Stableford groups are wonderful. Dogfight, quota, whatever you want to call it, subtract your course handicap from 36 and go get your points. Missed your putt/chip/whatever for bogey? Pick it up and move on, you just got a zero for that hole, no biggie.

When there is a 5some on the first tee.

There are 3 carts and 1 set of clubs.

It's 8 am Saturday morning.

You pull up behind the other 9 carts waiting, while the oldest player in the group explains to the other 4 how to hold a golf club.

Yeah, we went around and started on hole #5. When we got thru 18 and started back on #1, they were on #6 or #7.

When my 2 golf buddies invite that other guy that I don't much care for. The one who constantly tries to call out rules violations before an infraction has even taken place and takes 10 practice swings for every shot.

And then stands motionless over the ball for so long you start to dial 911 because you think he's had a stroke.

Honestly the only way to change the culture is for the USGA handicapping system to go on a stableford method instead of a strokes method.

When the first hole is about 530 yards or so, and the group ahead of you has 3 guys waiting for the green when the longest of the group "knocked one" about 245 in the rough. You aren't going to make it bud, just hit. We are gonna have to go grab more beer before we can finally tee off.
