Best round I ever played was at Beverly Golf and Tennis up on the North shore of Massachusetts. I shot a 68 back in the late 90's, for the record I have never sniffed that since, anywhere, but here is the old bag. I still like to head up there once a year to play that place. Great course if you're ever in the area. (and I still have all of those clubs, somewhere)

My best rounds (64) came over 20 years ago. My first 64 I was using a Cleveland Classic persimmon with Ram FX Tour Grind MB's. I think I was using a Scotty Cameron Mizuno putter.

The second 64 I was using Titleist 962's with a Callaway BB titanium and a Ping Pal 2 putter.

Shot my lowest round 4 years ago on the last day of a guys 5 day trip to Scottsdale, i had a feeling i was having a pretty good round for me, but was very surprised when i was told i shot a 75. I can only remember the irons 2014 Apex/Apex Pro recoil 110 X.

This year i had my lowest back nine 34 but had a 46 front nine. Crazy. 34 was par on the back nine that has never happened and will probably never happen again. Being iron crazy i brought 3 new to me used sets of irons to the practise area and couldn't hit a shot with the first 2 sets but the 3rd set Japan issue Burner TP's were going straight. That back nine the iron shots were going where i aimed for a change. Putted well with a Garage Toulon Indy, 910 D2 driver was keeping me in the fairway. I have kept the Burner's but the magic only lasted 9 holes. Got a long winter to dream of ways to make it happen again.

F - also Tm

I - pretty sure Titleist "box blades" 3-W

Mine is what is in my signature, but I had a Ping i25 4 hybrid in place of my UT iron. The hybrid potentially saved me 4 strokes. Not sure why I don't use it all the time....

Back in 2010 I was actually decent at golf and shot in the 70s all the time. I had a pretty sweet set of clubs, too.

Driver: Cobra X-Speed Pro S 9.5* with stock Speeder in stiff (still have it collecting dust, and a backup shaft, lol)

3 wood: Adams Insight BUL 15* with stock stiff shaft (was not stiff enough, but I mostly got along with it)

Hybrids: Callaway X 21* & 24* with stock stiff graphite (should have reshafted them with DG X100, would've liked them better)

Irons: Mizuno MP-30 5-PW with DG S300 (wish I could find another LH set in good condition)

Wedges: MacGregor MT 56* & 60* with DGSL S300, Professional Open 64* with Apollo Hump (back then I didn't flip with my wedges and this club was deadly from 75 yards and in. It was also great for chips when I wanted very little roll-out. Built it with components from Hireko.)

Putter: A one-of-a-kind center-shafted putter I made when I was a machinist. It is a simple high-MOI design that works like a charm. It does make a funny ping sound though.

Callaway ORG 14 cart bag

Some of that stuff I still have, but I miss those MP-30s a lot. I miss my swing from back then even more, lol. Man, I could kill the ball with a driver in those days. I still have decent swing speed, but my impact conditions aren't nearly as good as they used to be. Oh well. When you can't play or practice every day, it's hard to be good at golf.

Back when I was in high school I shot 77 at a course in Colorado. It is kind of sickening to see how much better I shot with clubs that are nowhere close to as good as what I have now. I guess when you play everyday it doesn't matter what clubs you have, you will be better (shrug). Edit: I'm also pretty sure I played with Titleist Tour SF golf balls or something similar to that that were available at walmart for 20-25 bucks a dozen.
