Long time full cord user and been using z cord tour issue .580 which I really like

 

Z cord is fabulous. I've been rocking MCC Plus4 with align which I've been happy with. But I like the look of these Lamkin's with what sounds like a slightly less aggressive cord.

A little OT...why is Lamkin's "standard" .580 instead of .600, like everyone else on earth?

 

These grips in std size are .600. Std + are .580.

 

Most grips have gone to .600 to reduce cost and most std shafts are now .600 butt size.

 

GP and Lamkin still make .580 due to their history of making this size and feedback from customers. Durability is prob better too. Nice thing about .580 grips are you only have to add a couple wraps to get a grip close to midsize.

They have their specs wrong on the site, I just got my Standard plus today and they are a .60 not .58

Do these have slightly less taper in the bottom hand? I love my Justin Rose Rel Ace grips but my only grip is because they are more "rubbery" or "tacky" that for me personally, in the summer when my hands sweat a lot, these get fairly slippery. I'm using my gymnast chalk on every hole to suck the moisture out of my hands so the clubs don't start to slip. Usually cord helps solve this for me, but with the tapered grips I end up putting a lot of extra tape in the lower hand which isn't a huge deal, but it's a bit more hassle.

I have the grips and installed them. They are definitely less tapered and feel great. The .60 makes no difference for me. I have the Justin Rose Spec on my wedges. The grips feel the same in diameter

Awesome thanks. I may go to these then for my summer time play then switch back to the j rose grips for fall and spring.

 

The beauty of air compressor makes my life wonderful now :)

First off customer service super responsive from lamkin

 

I’m going to hold off returning ; I’m traveling right no so can’t post photos

 

First impression

- larger than zcord .580 (tour issue only) , and lamkin .580 full cord

- have the plus + , def less taper

- 54 grams is close

- maybe a only a .600 but the grip has a nice volume to it

- nice contrast to a lamkin .580 full cord with a firm but high performance sport tire feel

This grip is designed as a +2 wraps in the bottom hand as opposed to the +4 in MCC4
