Out of Site 8.5 degree driver with a knock off Taylor Made bubble shaft my dad made. Head the size of a 5 wood now.

Rawlings 3 wood my dad called that cheap 3 wood you found in the clearance rack. Damn thing would go a mile when you hit it.

Another 5 wood that had a head the size of a small hybrid now. Dad made it as well.

Ping Zing 3-SW irons.

Tiger shark triple crown wedge that had color coded alignment stripes on the bottom. We called it the waffle iron.

Ping Zing 2i Isopur putter. Still have that putter and brought it out of retirement 3 years ago and put a super stroke putter on it and when it is hot it is hot.

The best round I ever played was not my lowest score ever. It was in June 2005 just after my junior year of high school. The golf course was 7034 yards with a rating of 75 and slope of 136. I hit 17/18 greens and a fringe playing the back nine first. I came to #9 green bogey-free with an 8-footer for 65 and three-jacked. The other guy I played with couldn't even look at me, but that is a fun round of golf to look back on now.

Ironic, given my comments about newer drivers better than older in the other thread. Snapped my Epic's shaft just before first round of a tournament. Immediately shot the best round of my life (66) including the longest drive i've ever hit in competition (303).

 

I tried to keep the old mizzy in the bag but it didn't last.

Typing that really makes me want to have some of those clubs back and also brings back memories of how truly awful at putting I was. Managed to shoot a 78 with like 4-5 three jacks and a lot of missed birdie putts. Somehow having a kid made me a better putter but killed every other part of my game.

In July of this year i shot -1 for 50 holes (2 full rounds and a 14 hole night round). That was the best stretch of golf i have ever played though individually i have had better rounds

Edit: Then I bought into the whole low spin thing and ruined my game for two years. Looking at the list now I realise that everything on there is high launch and/or high spin. Trying to recreate that setup.

 

Edit 2: Geez, now that I think back my best driver ever was a TM R9 SuperTri. The quintessential high spin driver. I'm such a muppet.

Best 9 hole round ever was in 2001, a +1 37 (with a bogey at the last (bunker), 8 strokes under my handicap, playing with my new girlfriend and showing off skills I didn't even know I had. It was the first round with my Callaway Steelhead X-14 irons, which I bought used 'on the internet' after reading and re-reading the reviews on Ham'n Egg.com.

I had that scorecard in the glove box of my car for 15 years until that same girl, who had since become my wife and doesn't play golf anymore threw it out.
