Vokey 60.10 V-Grind vs Vokey 60.10 M-Grind

Both of these are available through Wedgeworks at vokey.com ...... obviously these two aren't readily available for a ton of people to compare, however I'm curious if anyone out there has been able to compare these two?? With the same amount of bounce, I'm wondering just how different these two grinds are. Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere before. I tried searching, but couldn't find anything. Thanks!

I have both a TVD M and a Wedgeworks V grind. Both 60 degrees. While they seem similar on first appearance they play quite different.

I'm a bit of a digger and unless it was super firm the M grind dug like a backhoe on me especially on long pitch shots from 50-60 yards and even around the green with less than firm conditions with a square face.

The V grind plays much better on those shots and digs quite a bit less however it retains the trailing edge relief and is still easy to open up the face for flops when needed.

Overall the V was a much better fit for me and the one that stayed in the bag

Thank you so much for this!! This really does help a ton! Did you ever use either the V or M out of bunkers? If so, did you find the V-Grind better in that situation as well!

The TVD M and the high bounce M on the wedgeworks site right now are two different beasts. I have gamed both the V and the high bounce M. I think both are the same out of the bunker but the high bounce M is more forgiving on full shots.

The v grind has the bounce located toward the leading edge. The m has the bounce more toward the rear. Both are a similar wider sole shape, but play quite differently depending on the conditions and technique used.

Could you say which one plays more like the k grind on full shots? I love my TVD K on square shots. Basically looking for a K grind with some heel and toe relief and these both seem to offer that? A bit confused

I can't help with any info on the high bounce M. I have a standard 60 M and a 60 V and I am most certainly a digger. I've played both this season..

If it's dry and firm I prefer the M, especially around the greens for finesse shots and open faced flops.

If it's the slightest bit wet the V grind is far superior for me, especially for full fairway shots. The big trade off is that even with the heel relief on the V grind, it still can punish you on open faced flop shots off a firm and/or very tight lie. You must be very precise.

I like the V grind out of fluffy bunkers with good sand. I like the the M out of firm bunkers that lack sand.

It's actually always a trade off depending on conditions. I had both in my truck all season. I've decided for consistency I really need to pick one or the other and commit to it. That's going to be the V. I just have that little bit extra sense of comfort with it over the ball and I use it a LOT out of the fairway.

Not sure if that helps you at all, since you're asking about the high bounce M. I've looked at it myself, but I just doubt it's that different than the V. I don't really want another $250+ wedge experiment.

You know, I just looked at the vokey page. No good sole pics of the V grind to compare the two in that manner. I'd say the high bounce M is going to be more like a K with heel and toe relief. It looks to me that the High bounce M has a wider overall sole. I'll post pics of my V. Mine is bent to 62 degrees by the way. Effectively 12 degrees bounce now.

Crap. I may need to try a high bounce M myself now!! Ughhhh!!, damn it, damn it!! I need to stay off this site!!

If you actuallly measure the bounce angle on the sole of the v grind it's around 18-20 degrees. They mark the sole with the "effective" bounce number.

Love my wedge works M grind 60 10 bouce so much so I want a 54 grind v grind , like the m grind wedge works M. Never hit a v

How is the 54* V grind on full shots? Tend to swing that club more on full shots

Using a bastardized 52 f grind 8 bounce bent to 54 current gamer
