Tige testing TM M3

I just saw a Instagram or Twitter with the M 3 in his bag and now I can't find it. Wondering if he hits it better then his M2. If anyone can locate it please post.

It was discussed at the TM sales meeting that Tiger saw any between 4-6 mph increase in ball speed with the new face technology with the M3 over his 2016 M2

The only way that is possible is if w he was swinging it faster or his current driver isn’t as close to the max cor as this one. Either way same story every year since cor was capped...more speed ..blah blah. If you are as efficient as possible with your current “new” driver..your not going to gain anything.

Always strikes me as odd that this increased ball speed is attributed to guys with swing speeds of 120. Not just TM but other brands as well such as Tour Edge and the new CBX fairway woods. What about the average Joe that is sub 100 mph? What kind of increase can they expect to see?

Love the move to shift the Fade/Draw weights to the back. Would expect this to be the most forgiving M1 yet.

I'm just repeating what was presented, don't kill the messenger. While I agree COR is maxed / capped by USGA for building a driver currently, is it at all possible that the new face technology can improve ball speeds? No more bulge and roll face might affect all the dynamics of gear effect / spin loft / spin axis, etc. and lead to faster ball speeds. Maybe somebody smarter than the population on this board could explain.

Looks cool. Weight track I feel isn't a new idea, as the new PXG stuff seems to be doing this with their weight screws (meaning, 2 sets of rearward weight, split apart on both sides.) I'm guessing though that would result in a really spinny flight, as when I put both weights all the way back with my old M1, that's pretty much what happened.

I always base my purchases on the visuals of the one part of the club I never see while using it.

 

There's a high chance that the reaction would be the exact same out of some no matter what the looks were, simply based on the brand name on it.

It’s not possible to gain 10+ yards without gaining swing speed or inefficient previous clubhead. Don’t need a engineering degree to know that. This is just a disclaimer for those who may be new to the game and don’t know better.

Edit. Not calling you out. I saw unexplainable gains with epic head too. I just couldn’t not hit it right. If this head is like epic but straight. Sign me up.
