What Are You "OCD" About?

For me it's keeping my clubs clean. I wash them with soap and water after every round and keep them as clean as possible during the round. I've told myself it's for improved spin on approach shots but, yep, it's just OCD.

1/8s of inches in relation to the lengths of my clubs, particularly my putters

 

Keeping my clubs from dinging up in my bag and making noise, so I use headcovers. It works but it is not a cool look. Not horridly bad.

 

The whole getting frisky thing before the round is a lot like the boxers philosophy before a fight. I defer to Matthew McCona-whatevers character in wolf of wall street on this subject

Freud's 'anal retentive' theory has largely been disproved, as has his Oedipal 'complex' fascination, dream interpretation, etc. Which is one reason I appreciate the name of this thread, because in lieu of 'anal retentive' we say 'obsessive compulsive disorder' or OCD...

Clubs in proper spot, Same marker, tool and amount of tees in my left pocket.

 

I once lost my marker for a round or two and felt like I couldn't function on a golf course hahahaha.

 

I'm not a clean freak but my grooves stay clean of debris.

 

My only OCD thing with my playing partners is that you have to get your ball out of the hole. Sometimes people want to leave the ball in the hole and save time by scooping them all up etc but in my mind there is only room for one ball in the cup at a time haha.

 

Scream in my swing, play slow, toss a club whatever just get your ball out of my cup haha.

Other people chewing over yardages and club selection... the people I play with are generally not accurate to the exact yard with their shots, they're generally not accurate to five yards with their shots, so get on with the f***ing game!!! Your ability to use your own god given eyes and subsequently adapt each shot is integral to the essence of game.
