From what I recall, the original 3-piece MTB is getting a little distance improvement. He is also coming out with a 4-piece ball. I like the performance of the MTB but I already have 3 1/2 dozen to go through before I will be in a position to try either of the new balls.

Just speculating--and hoping--that maybe one or both urethane balls will be available in yellow! I'm guessing no for the cost reasons Snell described here last year. But the yellow ball market is sizable.
In an interview with MGS, dean snell discounted the level of interest in yellow balls and mentioned that they're expensive to make for such a small market.

Excited for the new ball!

I don't know if Dean will read this, but is there any reason we don't get the same discounts/deals as the guys in the U.S do?

Hello... the distributors we use to sell the balls run their regions with their separate plans.. the discounts we have on the balls here in the US are primarily due to reducing the year end inventory, and prepare for the launch of the new balls that are coming soon. As you can imagine, we carry quite a bit more inventory than the distributors. Most of them planned their business to liquidate what they had, and are also getting ready for the new golf balls... So volume in the US is the primary reason why you see these discounts... margins for the US are easier to do this versus margins in the other regions as well... hope this helps...

New golf balls will be two versions... MTB BLACK and MTB RED.... The MTB BLACK will be upgrade to the current MTB, and the MTB RED is a design based on feedback from everyone that has posted testing and results... so thanks for the feedback.. .The golf balls have tested out excellent and we will be releasing the full details of the balls (hint: 3pc and 4pc) balls soon, with a pre-order date of Jan 15th... We are alittle at the mercy of the shipments arriving (busy time of year) so hope to be able to send all orders in Feb... we will also have a test pack for these two models, so if unsure, you can get two sleeves of each model to test out on your own... thanks for the patience and continued support...

Thanks for the info. That's much less cryptic than the first info I got on this...haha. Should be fun trying these out.

So, if I've read correctly ...

MTB Black = TaylorMade Black TP/LDP

MTB Red = TaylorMade Red TP/LDP

If that's the case, I may have to consider dumping all the rest of the balls in my closet and buy cases of the MTB Red ...
