I just got one. I hadn't joined in several years. I'm just here the bag and the Masters release.

 

 

You and me both. My luck, ill miss the masters release, but the bag will be totally worth it. He only does special headcovers for the larger events right, like majors?

No, he has many releases throughout the year, not just the majors. There will be one next week for the Sony.

 

He usually has one release a month.

Jan - Sony Open

Feb - Valentine or Mardi Gras

Mar - St Patricks Day

Apr - Masters

May - Cinco

June - US Open

July - British

Aug - PGA

Sept - Ryder Cup

Oct - Halloween & Vegas

Nov - TCC

Dec - Christmas

 

He will have several surprises throughout the year like the Idaho and Louisiana Open on the Web.Com tour schedule.

I liked the camo duffle so bought just the duffle last year on ebay. Probably should have joined. I've been looking for a Sunday bag so this was the perfect one to join on. I'd prefer a small bag with legs, but maybe I'll sell this and buy a Two5.

 

Can someone tell me How the releases work? Do I get notified by email ahead of time? Do I need to watch Twitter?

Your best bet to have a chance of grabbing some new release gear is to follow scotty cameron on twitter and turn on notifications. You will receive the twitter notification before you will get the email. Last year he started releasing around 11:30am eastern time. The release time started to fluctuate more as the year progressed. Look at the tweets from last year and see what time he usually sent the tweet out. Releases are generally on Tuesdays.

Based on what people have told me in the past, its really hard to get out of the checkout before it sells out. Heres holding out hope for the Masters release!!

A Titleist Sunday bag is over $100, so this seems a no brainer.

I dont know for sure, but i bet it wont. They will want to keep the shipping cost as low as possible, so i bet it comes folded up tight.

I laughed! I have a Jones stand bag and 14 clubs with midsize grips can to lead some frustration. You can do it but I hope you don’t mind rub marks on your graphite and folding back some of the grips.

 

I have one of the old school PING Sunday’s and usually pack a Driver and odd numbered irons and a putter. Works really well. If this one has a bit more storage it’ll be perfect.

I used to have an old school titleist one but i only used it to on par 3 courses ... would love to bust this out once and a while playing 9 one a real course..

Sunday bags will generally fit 14 clubs but aren't meant for 14. They're meant for a handful of clubs and walking a few holes.

I saw a couple posts from what appear to be people joining Club Cameron for the first time and asking about how long shipping takes.

 

As a member for a while you need to learn patience and to have no expectations. For the kits people just ordered they might ship next week or they might not ship for the full 4-6 week estimate or even longer as I have seen some people say the time estimate went to 8-10 weeks.

 

For regular releases it doesn't matter if you choose overnight or ground shipping. You could order something on Tuesday with overnight shipping but it won't actually be processed and ship until Friday. On the other hand you could order on Tuesday with Ground shipping and it will ship out that night. You just have to accept the fact that there is no reasonable explanation for when and how stuff ships. Also the actual shipping prices usually don't make sense either. I have learned to just accept the absurdness of the whole shipping process and it will be better if you do to.

 

PS: The girl at the Studio Store is really grumpy if you call with a question and she actually answers

Just ordered/joined the Scotty Club for the first time.

 

I recently repainted my Golo 3 in lime green so it'll match the new cover nicely.

I use a push cart, but the bag might get me to carry a few times this year.

Its nice he offered up the Sunday bag, but its not the most practical and more of a novelty. I like it, good deal, but not over thrilled.

I'd argue that a Sunday golf bag is the most practical golf bag there is; if used for the proper application (caddie bag / practice bag / minimalist walking bag).
