P790 UDI's - Any news on these vs the full set p790s?

I'm sure Taylormade will or already have caught wind that it sold for $730 and will probably make these a very limited vault release at an insane price. Pre market release sometimes dictates sales strategy.

I think the 1st one he sold was double that. there was a thread about it on the "deal or no deal".

Yikes so the 1udi P790 is a real unicorn...probably go for over 1k.

Lets remember that these are golf clubs made in overseas factories for marginal amounts compared to retail prices.

 

Once the CAD and design are done its just a matter of economy of scale that determine retail price compared to wholesale and manufacturing + marketing costs.

 

To the person that spent over 1G on a driving iron - good on you.

 

Lots of options out there including these new UDi's once they hit retail that will make this G-note seem really silly BUT if you got the $$$ all the power to you. I' m not going to tell others how to spend their money.

I found the 790 to feel dull ! Sold after a week ! Prefer the 750/770

Somewhat surprising, I really liked the P790 set! Feel was totally acceptable for me and the results, at least while demoing off mats, was pretty fantastic. According to the monitor, I had no issues with lack of spin either (I'm a natural high spin player though). The 4 iron went very long for me, and being 21*, I can't see myself tempted by a lower loft. I think people playing more traditional cavity backs or blades will love having a one or two of the UDI's in the bag though.

I ended up ordering a P790 3 iron and bent it 1 degree strong to replace my old driving iron. I'll get a chance to hit it for the first time this weekend due to some great weather in Minnesota. Golf in December for the first time.

Friend plays for utah state and he was home for the holidays on the range and he has one. Graphite design 95x is what he has in it and it was very very nice. I couldnt steal it unfortunately.

Cant wait for TM to release it. I have TI RSI TP UDI 18 bent to 17 and is game changer for me.

According to those who are at the Taylormade experience, the P790 UDI will come in a 2 iron, 17 degree with a HZRDUS Black 95g shaft. Due in March.

 

I for one, will be ordering the moment it’s availble...
