I'm pumped that a few of the selected guys have the G400 or G400 LST as their current gamer (as do I). I can't wait to see how the performance of the M3 and M4 compares! I'll be following...enjoy dudes!

Congrats to those selected. Looking forward to yet another vicarious experience and seeing the numbers with the M3 and M4 as nothing can seem to kick my 2016 M2 out of the bag. Will be really interested in the toe miss and how the twist face affects it since that's where I miss consistently...

I am so blown away at being chosen for this! A BIG thank you to GolfWRX and Taylormade for selecting me! It’s pouring buckets of rain up here in Seattle so a glimpse of sunshine is just what the doctor ordered.

Are any of you lucky guys sub 95mph swing speed? If so can I get extensive feedback on launch/spin characteristics of both drivers.....with DJ stating M4 is flatter flight for him, I'm confused now...

Have fun!

I have a sub 95 mph SS. In fact I think i have a sub 90 SS... So all slower swingers and Average Joe's can follow along on my little journey.

Looking forward to seeing you all later this week.

:welcomeani:

We have these ready for you...

I really think I should've been picked. I would've put the twist face through the ringer...every part of the face...and maybe the crown too!

As a 15 handicap I can assure you that the entire face will get a workout when I swing!

I imagine there is more to the story than just "M4 is flatter". My bet is there were loft/lie/face angle changes compared to this normal M1/M3 set up. At the very least he went with a 9.5* stamped head vs his normal 10.5* has had been playing.

Was at a Taylormade conference today and they said the spin was to low in M3 9.5, so he tried the M4 9.5 and it gave him the numbers he was looking for.

Just under 100 on good days in mid season form ...... but it’s been awhile since I’ve swung the sticks so I’m guessing speed will be down around mid 90’s.

I read somewhere that it was to keep the ball flight down out of the wind. He certainly didn’t hit the ball as high as he did with last year’s M1. But at that course he didn’t need to or want to win the trade winds came up.

Another thing is that he played the M1 with the loft sleeve a click higher, but moved that back to standard on the M4 this week at Kapalua. This would have lowered the loft a hair compared to what he played last year. From https://community.ta...PIONS/ba-p/1971:

"Working with TaylorMade’s VP of Tour Operations, Keith Sbarbaro, to dial in his driver, DJ was noticing that he wasn’t quite getting the type of cut he was looking for off the tee. As a result, Keith adjusted the M4 “one-click” open (back to standard)."

Dang - pouring rain today.. hopefully it clears up! Weather has been incredible up until yesterday :(

Forecast Wednesday-Friday looks really good right now. Hopefully it holds.

I'm in OC, about 45 min north, it's pouring up here. Hopefully it clears for everyone's sake.. you don't want to be in So.Cal when it rains.. people out here don't know what to do when it rains! Looking forward to hearing about the driver.
