What is your "superscore" at your course?

52, 20 under par at my home course. The only two eagles I've had on it were hole outs for 2's on 2 par 4's, both within about a week of each other. Real interesting to look at the best you have done on each hole and dream about doing it all on the same day.

Either we have a lot of monster hitters here or we have a bunch of short par 5's. That's a lot of par 5 eagles I keep seeing. I've been as low as a 2 handicap and can only remember 1-2 eagles in my 8 years of playing.

And eagles on par 4's? Dang, either guys are smashing the ball 350 yards a pop, the par 4's are under 300 or people are super accurate with approaches. I've driven 1 par 4 (birdie) in 8 years and never had a hole out for an eagle.

I have had 2 aces though.

I love you doubters!! LOL

I have had 2 aces though.

Here are my par 4 eagles just on my (former) home course, Canyon Crest CC in Riverside, CA:

1) 390 yards: 145ish hole out

3) 365 yards: Several wedge hole outs from 80 to 120 yards

5) 385 yards (uphill): 140ish hole out to a front-right pin in a big skins game.

6) 390 yards (downhill): multiple wedge hole outs from 80-120

9) 370 yards: 130ish hole out to a back-left pin.

12) 445 (uphill on second shot): 207 hole out to a back-right pin into a good wind. Wilson Staff "Fluid Feel" 2-iron. Was lodged between the pin and cup when I walked up. Straightened the pin, and down she went! This was in 1995(ish)?

14) 365 yards: multiple wedge hole outs from 60 to 120

15) 335 yards straight uphill: Two or three at least from 70-120. Most memorable was a called shot with a buddy. Front-left pin. Greens soft and receptive. 15 years ago I spun the ball a lot: "I'm gonna throw this behind it and suck it back and left into the hole." And I did just that!

Of course I've said that before and since and have yet to repeat it, but that was pretty cool.

The course back then fit my game perfectly: Lots of driver-wedge holes with receptive greens. And I can golf my ball from 130 and in. :-)

And I have ONE(!!!!) Hole-in-one in my ~30 years of scratch or better golf!!!!

Certainly better than mine. I would have no chance of listing my eagles over the last 40 years and they are rarer than most on here.

I've only been playing a few years so it's pretty easy to remember them. My course is very short and has some doglegs so I do get eagle opportunities fairly often. But this year I've holed out several times as well, including from 185 for my albatross.

Seeing single caps that have never had an eagle kinda blows my mind though. I guess if you play longer courses and spend most of the time on the range instead of on the course it makes sense though. I am on the course every day during the golf season here so end up with lots of chances at eagles.

Cool story about a course near me, not my normal home course, but play here frequently throughout the summer, Highfields Country Club in Grafton, MA.

Keegan Bradley holds the course record here with a 70 from the back tees when he played at Hopkinton High School. He would probably shoot a 60 at this course today, but still cool to see his name in the club house. A high school kid back in 2012 tied his record at this course.

-20...16 birdies and 2 eagles for 51.

That’s balanced by my worst score total of 140...69 over par! In my defence, there are lots of trees on every hole and I’ve been behind most of them at one time or another.

- 25 for me. All four par 5 eagles and three par 4 eagles

No aces or albatrosses at home club .. YET !!!!!!!

I've been there 13 years now. Common tees played is a titch under 6,700. Par 72. Hard track at 73.8 / 138. Par 5's are 510, 495, 505, 540 (eighteen - the hardest eagle as the green is fronted by a lake and usually into the west winds). Two of them I can sling hooks over the woods and shave yardage

We used to do an annual ringer board until the kids that ran it in their dad's memory were kicked out of the club

My humble brag is that I used to win this thing regularly. One year I was minus 23 ! Approx 90 rounds that year. Birdies on all holes, eagles on all par 5's and a deuce on our par 4 tenth

I have a Garmin watch that records my score each round and enables me to look at course data easily. In the Garmin connect program it , they call your "superscore" the Dream round.

With over 100 games recorded on my local, my dream round is 54. I have birdied every hole , but never eagled.

Two of those holes it took a long time to get the birdies on.One made sense in that it is long and has a 2 tier green. The other I guess was a problem only because you are often left with a very uneven lie for your approach..but it is quite a short hole.

Can't wait to get some eagles on there, I have been in eagle range a few times but didn't have the kahonas required.

Par 4 eagles tend to be memorable because they typically are hole-outs. I don't remember all of my par 5 eagles , i just know that i've eagled them because i can remember at least one. I remember all of my long hole-outs, though sadly for a low index i do not have a large amount of them, including no hole in ones.

Par 72. Superscore = 61, or -11

  • Two of the four Par 3 holes I have never birdied (although a couple of times a year I par all four).
  • Three of the four short risk/reward Par 4 holes I have never birdied
  • The only Par 5 I haven't birdied is the easiest one.
  • The hole I birdie the most is the 1 HDCP No. 9, a par 4.

Superscore net result = 7 pars, 11 birdies, no eagles.

Played same course since '94. Par 71, -28 for a 43. Handicap currently = 8.6. Course would be considered easy by golfwrx standards, but happy to host anyone wanting to confirm that assertion.

Luck (and simply longevity) plays a big part - 2 aces and 1 double eagle and a couple fairway hole outs on par 4s are pretty fortunate results. Other eagles = all skill!
